52 Weeks 2015: SPORTS ..getting one in under the wire this week...too much rain to get anything outside.

I greeted this man without bite, but it scratched a bit in my teeth so I took it out on my leash instead.
Week #1 - Reflection
I've decided to do another project 52. This time with a group and predefined topics.
Bistromatik, the robot is reproducing the movement of the violinist ... this machine can also serve beers !!!
Shadows of a perfect weekend. Nothing to complicated this week, just a shot of the view we had over a very relaxing easter weekend ( complete with shadows and a pelican)
Ugh, feeling SOOOOOPER fat this week. Like, enormous. I really didn't think I'd be the pregnant lady who complains about feeling fat all the time, but it's really challenging when nothing fits. Underpants are too small. Bras (even the ones I bought A MONTH AGO) are too small. Maternity pants that fit a few weeks ago are too small. Mike found me standing by my closet this morning crying and he wrapped his arms around me and told me that I was beautiful and that I'm doing a wonderful job growing our daughter, and that this is what my body is SUPPOSED to look like. I know I'm not supposed to derive my self confidence from him or whatever, I'm supposed to find it from within, but it sure is helpful to have a husband who manages to say the kind of thing that lifts me up and makes me feel okay. Bless him.
Best thing this week? WATCHING Niblet kick through my skin. It made me laugh and laugh, until it started to freak me out a little because seriously. Looks like an alien trying to escape...
Niblet gained about 4 ounces since last week, which puts her at about 1 1/3 pounds and almost a foot long. Honestly though, I'm happy to keep getting bigger as long as she keeps getting bigger.
Fetus fact: If born now, she would have about a 50 percent chance of surviving. Let's hope she stays put for AT LEAST 16 more weeks!
My second try at conceptual photography during my 52 weeks. I don't really know what I think, but hey here it is. I need to really practice stuff like this more often, because it definitely isn't my strong point.

We've completed two weeks after one round of chemo. Second week has been kind of a roller coaster in terms of progress. There were so many variations and keeping track of it felt a little exhausting.
Say someone is on a path to lose some holiday weight and takes measurement every day. If you look closely at each dayâs value, itâll go up and down and you might feel that there isn't any progress made. But if you look at trends of say 7 day window, then it becomes a lot easier to see if you are making progress or not. Tracking Thunderâs food intake has been a similar experience.
On an average Thunder has been eating close to 2 cups. Earlier heâd finish his entire intake in one sitting. Now he spreads it over the entire day by consuming smaller portions. Along with this, his interest in baked chicken has gone back to being normal. Overall there has been good changes to his appetite. Iâm not sure if this is due to the daily drugs he consumes or not, but at the moment this has been a welcome change.
We have Babar as a guest at home. He is a dachshund and a cute little fella. Why him? A bit about Thunderâs personality.
Thunder is a very dominant one. Generally he is curious about other dogs and will engage in some rough play. He only prefers to run and can get irritated if the other dog is all over his face. As long as they are around and not dominant, heâll get along just fine. But if we bump into another dominant dog, then heâll surely get into a fight. Weâve had some close calls and I can go over elaborate details about those encounters. Iâll reserve it for another day.
Size does matter to him. Heâll pick fights with other dominant dogs only if they are medium sized and above. Small ones, he really doesnât care and will avoid them. That's where Babar fits in. He is small and very vocal. Babar can bark all day and still have energy to run a couple of soccer fields in the evening. Thunder tolerates Babar, no matter how loud his barks are. When it's done too much an occasional growl is all it takes for Babar to slightly back off and they both are happy puppies. Thanks to Babarâs dad (Ashish Kasturiya) for allowing Babar to come and stay with us.
We move onto week 3 and at the end of it, will be ready for the second round of testing. Thanks to all of you for your prayers and wishes. They are very much appreciated!

this week for 52 weeks for dogs, we had the theme of "catch." i have been wanting to get a picture of alice's ball-catching face, so i thought this was a good week to do it. she may not be actually catching in this shot, but a split second later, she was. :)
in case you were wondering, the orange blob at the bottom center of the photo is the incoming ball.
My take on the theme this week. One of those shots that as I was taking it I didn't realize it had any real potential until I saw it on my big screen. I chose to go with b/w for this photo to place emphasis on the repeating poles as well as their reflections in the water.

Very short for time, took a different route, framing my visiting daughter-in-law´s lovely face with a shawl, for a mysterious look at her French-Lebanese beauty.
I have added a new colour in with the Turquoise, and it is violet. I think its a purpley-blue, but still, I love it all the same. I had better pics, but this was the one that you can properly see it with!!

Week 9 has kind of creep up on us and we have not been able to do much better than this.
Dylian is showcasing his best command of "place" having to keep it even if his crazy sister is doing all kinds of crazy and distracting things around him.
This week he learned to spin... He learns quickly which makes it all that much more fun. I need ideas of tricks to teach him. I think he really needs to be challenged.

Tried some levitation this week! My second strobe has arrived so placed one outside the door and one behind me to subtely light my feet and jeans. The trick was achieved with the help of a chair and then taking another image without chair but with strobes still firing.

One Yongnuo 560 outside at 1/4 turned sideways. One Canon 430EX II placed diagonal to feet at 1/32.
