Beautiful day, lots of nice waves, surfers in the water. Photos taken from the breakwall at Ballina. I can't decide which shot I like best for the 'splash' challenge.
Today in Erris was a day to die for. I was meant to be working but who could work with all this activity going on!

My trip out for a sunset shoot only brought gale force winds and rolling clouds, but there is opportunity to be found anywhere. I saw this huge boulder with the tide coming in over it and decided to isolate it and get the waves crashing around it.
Similar to the kids playing but the framing is not as good. Might just photoshop out the person and leave a simple landscape He just serves as distraction. Doh.
during the weekend, we get a lot more traffic and congestion here at ocean beach! especially when there is heat wave!

Waves in Nerja on Christmas Eve. The torrential rain had stopped, and the sun was coming through. The water was brown from all the debris that the overflowing rivers had brought down.

This tall symmetrical wave form is caused by incoming waves from the North Sea passing through reflected waves from Bridlington's north beach breakwater. Constructive interference aka reinforcement results in a large (2-3m high) wave form.
