Kitesurfing or Kiteboarding - wave-riding which is focused on big waves using a board designed for wave riding.

No matter what the weather or the size of the waves, the sea generally puts on a good display where it hits the rock shelves at the edge of Turrimetta Beach.

It's very easy to lose track of time there, as one tries to capture the perfect moment.

Taken @ Pulai Desaru, Malaysia during a team building of our caompany. The weather is bad, forget the sunset just enjoying the crashing waves.. Woosshhhh

It was a tough day to be paddleboarding with a short surf SUP.

(Quite honestly, I know nothing about SUPs and would never use one so I don't even know what to call this shortboard/SUP hybrid. All I know is that it didn't appear to be the right conditions for this type of board. Waves were too weak and soft for surfing with it and too messy to use it as a traditional SUP. But this guy gave it a good shot! Props to at least trying.)

Active Assignment Weekly: Repeat after me. Rocks and waves. What it took: Colour correction. A very small amount of cloning on a rock.

Modern modernisme. Nice assimilation of the swinging architecture by the Japanese Toyo Ito.

I like it :) The lack of straight lines in modernisme is just right down my alley.

Our gulf of Bothnia is quite shallow and that is why the wave hight isn't be very big

Nothing like a 45 minute break at lunch to sit and do some photography at the beach with perfect conditions.

This was actually Shay's idea! We took at least 12 photos, but only this one actually managed to catch the water!

Taken few inches above the sand.

Sometimes sunny, sometimes dull and always windy - this was Cromer on the Norfolk coast during our visit.

20+ knot winds made KAP difficult at best, but the wind across Kua Bay was steady enough to fly a Flowform 8 and lift my BBKK rig. At times, though, the rig was at risk of catching surf spray.

Number three in a series of wave abstracts.

I couldn't get a lot of height because of the high wind speed and the low line angle on my only high wind kite, my Flowform 8. So I spent time playing with the waves.

Equipment Used:

Kite - Flowform 8 + 15' Fuzzy Tail

Line - #200 Dacron

Rig - R/C BBKK

Camera - Canon A650IS

You can spend hours watching the waves.
