I raised two boys and found my first frog in the washing machine this weekend. What did I do? Scream? No, I grabbed it and took it straight to the scanner where I proceeded to scan it front and back and then label it wrong in my journal.

On this shopping list:

birthdaymail

empties

bakery

Copyshop

birthday card (for birth)

Vienesse pies

Frapan clingfilm

face lotion

Milk, water

grey pillow

washing my hair

toenails

I think that the owner’s name of this shopping list is Ulrike, ans she seem to be a bit disorganized. She forgot always birthdays and other dates. So after doing her purchases it crossed her mind that she had an invitation for a birthday party today! And she wanted to wash her hair! It hasn’t been worth to drive hime for washing her hair, so she plunged into the water of the „Kleiner Kiel“, a little inland water in the center of Kiel. That wasn’t forbidden, wasn’t it? ;-)

I have to admit: Sometimes it's no fun to run. One day it has been cold, windy and it rained cats and dogs. Our shoes has been soaked after 1 minute and I was annoyed because I couldn't see anything but bokehs through my glasses. But we awarded each other a bravery medal ;-)

There was a special offer: Schleich Animals 20% reduced. I searched for an animal, while a little boy whined: „Mom, may I choose something for me?“ The mother denied, but the little boy promised that this would be the very very last time that he ask his mother if he could buy something. So she agreed (I could understand her, because he was really very cute and persuasive.)

She suggested to buy a Schleich Animal. He stood directly in front of all those Schleich animals and searched… and searched… hold up a meerkat and asked if this would be a Schleich Animal.

Too cute! I understood that he didn’t know that SCHLEICH is the name of the brand. „Schleich“ sounds like „schleichen“, and this means „to creep“. So he searched for a creeping animal ;-) I told him the thing with Schleich and that all animals in the board were Schleich animals. It was very easing for him, so he had the free choice ;-)

In the checkout area I met him again (he choosed a little lion). He looked at my Schleich horse onto the conveyor belt and asked for whom I would buy this. I answered that I’ll buy it for myself. He asked if I wouldn’t have children; I told him that I don’t have children because I’m myself a big child. He was fascinated, looked at me and said: „You are really a very big child. But… actually you are a mummy!“

Für diesen Zettel hat eine liebe Kollegin ihre Tochter unter die Einkaufswagen kriechen lassen. Dankeschön! ;-)

Book page and signature wrap

It looks like I can't trace my own hand, but my fingers really are that wonky. They didn't used to be this way.

Just a few pages from my art journal for late January, 2013

I bought this corner punch online, and it was shipped from Japan. They didn't use those stamps - I found them in my collection and I thought they fit the topic.

Als Herr L. beschloss, sich das gleiche Recht ignoranter Hundebesitzer herauszunehmen und die gleichen Argumente zu benutzen.

I found a shopping list with some medicines: Akineton, Risperdal, Tavor. (I assume that - the owner of the shopping list wrote it in another way). I googled for those meds and found out that they are needed if someone is suffering in a schizophrenic disorder. At first I was not sure if I should draw something, because it's such a terrible desease. But than I decided to draw. Life isn't always good and fair.

So I drew the patient in an exacerbation. In those periods he is sure that there are many flies in his apartment. So it's really important that he doesn't forget to order his meds.

I met my sister when she shipped out from Kiel. The Kiel Fjord is not very wide, so we could see and wave each other. In the evening was the christening of the "Mein Schiff 4". When I noticed that there was a post stand with special stamps for the christening I had to cycle back home for fetching my journal. Isn't it a great stamp? #christening #meinschiff4 #sister #stamp #specialpostmark #specialstamp #ahoi #colorline #kiel

My new passport and identity card. Robert commented the drawn passport photo: "You're looking ugly. You look as mad as Alfred E. Neumann from the MAD magazine." Perhaps that's right. ;-) I'm not a good forger.
