I started this during an art journaling workshop that I taught, and finished it up this morning. With time between starting and finishing, it took on a different meaning.
Something I've worked on and off on over the past two years. It's more like a drawing than an art journal page, but it's in my art journal.
Ich habe diese Federtasche auf facebook entdeckt - so cool!
Discovered this pencil case in the chronic of a facebook friend and had to order it. My colleague is also a stationery junkie like me, so I've been sure that she will like it. ;-)
At the opening of an exhibition in the art gallery Kiel (Kunsthalle) I met the "Fruitimat". You can insert money, make a wish for your picture and wait a while. After a few minutes you receive a handmade drawing. Such a great idea!
Und täglich grüßt das Murmeltier: Je nach Jahreszeit... irgendwer jammert immer, sobald man das Fenster im Büro auch nur eine Minute auf hat.
This is a set of 5 over-sized postcards of some of my visual journal pages. Each glossy postcard represents a journal spread, and is 8.5" x 5.5". The printing quality is so good, you can read my writing and feel what I was feeling when I created the journal page. Keep it for yourself for art inspiration, or mail it. The back is blank, except for my information, so you can write a note and address it.
ARt Journal page from 12/15/11...the first bit of art journaling I've done in weeks, maybe even months. Maybe it's a sign of things to come.
A squirrel scrambled into Roberts backpack, because it had to eat the apple inside. It didnt't even mind when Robert got his frisbee from the rucksack.
Dumb day in the office. But I received some very very nice presents which a lovable friend found in Japan for me. Isn't this a very cute painter's palette?
By accident I broke off a blooming sprout from my orchid. I put it in a 50s vase from my collection. Didn't know that orchids are so persistent in a vase.
I found a shopping list with rather normal things. But one thing I had to laugh about: "meat for Nils (1x dinner)"
So I created this story around this shopping list: Since Julias husband Hans eloped with the young cat's lover Yvonne to Ibiza many things has changed in Julias life. Hans left his dog Nils at home. Julia didn't ever educate Nils, she has been too soft. So Nils obeyed only Hans and acted up with Julia, so Julia booked a personal dog's trainer. She was very glad about her success in educating Nils, but she insited in one ritual: She insisted on her cozy dinner with Nils!
Sorry for the blurring middle of the spread. I scanned this with my old Scanner, and it isn't able to sharpen surface irregularities.
