I did a really quick layout today using wrapping paper I bought at a vintage place, isn't it the grooviest?, pears came from an ad in the mailbox, the tissue paper background came from my chiropractor's office (I swiped it when I was done on the rolling table)
I started a page today, but didn't finish it, but I had loads of fun playing with some scraps of tissue paper I've had lying around. I just slathered plain white glue on the page in a random squiggly pattern then proceeded to smoosh tissue paper over the glue and kept layering until I used up all the tissue paper, adding more glue as necessary. Hopefully I'll get to finish a page tomorrow, then again, with more sewing to do, maybe not!

You probably can't see it, but I put gold paint in some of the areas, and it looks so pretty in person, it gives a nice shimmer. Oh well :/
200323: Have I ever mentioned that I prefer to use wine roemer as a glass for paint water? I prefer the souvenir glasses with lots of gold, but they are hard to get. It's time I can visit Bavaria again, they sometimes sell them at the flea market. Or as new goods in the souvenir shop. I recently bought this glass at a flea market for 50 cents. That's also quite ok.

200323: Habe ich schon einmal erwähnt, dass ich als Tuschwasserglas am liebsten Weinrömer verwende? Ich favorisiere die Souvenirgläser mit viel Gold, aber die sind schwer zu bekommen. Es wird Zeit, dass ich mal wieder nach Bayern komme, dort gibt es die manchmal auf dem Flohmarkt. Oder als Neuware im Souvenirladen. Dieses Glas habe ich kürzlich auf einem Flohmarkt für 50 Cent erstanden. Das ist auch ganz ok.

This is the background of a page for my visual journal. I used about 4-5 different colors of spraypaint and sprayed directly on the pages. All my pages basically start out this way...
I cut this image out of an old magazine as it summed up my lovely, wintry day. I had to add lots of sparkle and bling to really set the tone. That is an actual mirror in the top left hand corner, I bought a bag of them at the dollar store a while ago and finally got around to using them. I also added little rhinestones that I've had for eons as well.

The Joy of Life
18 March 2008. Tomorrow's my last fiction class, and I'm sort of blue over it. It's been a slog at times to come up with something interesting to write, but I've really enjoyed it. I'm hoping that I can keep it going as a hobby, but let's be honest - I don't have the best track record for projects.
Although, 2 photos in 2 days! Yes, they are both shot and uploaded late at night, but it still counts.
Begin januari besloten om weer wat om te heen te kijken qua werk, en vrijwel direct de perfecte vacature gevonden. Dus per 1 maart aan de slag bij mijn nieuwe baas. Erg veel zin in.
Early january I decided to start looking around for a new job, and within days I had found the perfect one. So I start 1st March and I am really looking forward to it.
