I haven't been out shooting at all since New Year's Eve, so here's a pic from a year ago when I did a day trip to Drumheller. This is a view of the Red Deer River from the Orkney lookout.
Viewpoint with a decorative metal structure, the first tourist building on Hrebienok built in 1904.

“My woman has a wandering eye;
Yarrow, thyme and thorn.
She eyes the ocean and the sky
While stitching sails, forlorn.
I got a kiss, and then a tear
As she bade me go;
But on the waves, my heart's in fear:
My woman's in the know.” - F.T. McKinstry

This view point on Duncton Hill, just above Duncton village, looks out across the Sussex weald to the north. The view ranges from Midhurst towards the west and Petworth to the northeast.
Panorama of 4 photos.
A viewpoint in Lisbon, famous for the view over the Tejo river.
The view wasn't however a match for the show offered by the crowd. And someone had payed for an entertainer singing karaoke.

This viewpoint is famous for Ansel Adams' iconic photo of the Tetons and Snake River in 1942. Ansel Adams, an American photographer who was the most important landscape photographer of the 20th century. He is perhaps the most widely known and beloved photographer in the history of the U.S. Many of his photographs were of national parks and other protected areas of the American West. This location shows the Snake River Overlook which is a viewpoint on Hwy 89 between Moran Junction and Moose Junction. Ansel Adams photographed this iconic view of the Teton Range and Snake River from roughly this vantage point. The sweep of the Snake River below the sagebrush flats and the high peaks of the Teton Range towering above enthrall all who visit. Today visitors try to capture this image forgetting that trees have grown and the exact location is not known. Below this point, rafters access the Snake River at Deadmans Bar coming downstream from Pacific Creek or continuing on to Moose.

One of my favorite views. Love standing on Sulphur Mountain above Banff and the Bow River absorbing all this beauty.
This shot was taken right after the first snow of last year. That was a blessing, as while it added a chill snow makes mountains stand out and shine (IMHO). Was a wonderful day taking in this grandeur. A couple more shots from up here below:
I took many shots from up here. I'll post a series of shots from this special viewpoint soon.
Wishing you all a wonderful Friday and weekend.
One of the most picturesque views of the Scottish highlands can be had from the Assynt viewpoint on A894 north of Unapool, with a panoramic view of the Assynt mountains and the Loch Gleann Dubh and Loch a Chairn Bhain. Its remoteness reminded me of parts of British Columbia.

Manebhanjan is a small town in the vicinity of Darjeeling, frequented by adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers. It is the base for the popular Sandakphu Trek. The famous Rhododendron trek and the Himalayan Run & Trek are also organized from here. There is a short trekking route to reach the town as well.
The name “manebhanjan” translates as “the junction of Stupas” in Nepali language. The Singalila National park is located nearby and sees a lot of visitors. Tourists can embark on an interesting wildlife safari through the park. The Singalila Ridge is the highest point in West Bengal. The hills are a part of the Lesser Himalayas. The surrounding forest ecosystem is beautiful.

Lots of harsh lighting and haze in the atmosphere from forest fires in the area, but neither took away from the beauty of this incredible vista. The first lake is Rock Isle Lake and the one farther to the right is Grizzly Lake as viewed from the Standish Viewpoint at Sunshine Meadows in Banff National Park. This area can only be accessed by tour buses; well worth the money to go and spend the day hiking around this area.
Have a great Sunday.....and as always, thanks for all your visits and comments!!!!!
