The Viewpoint is along the Icefields Parkway, about 5 km south of Abathasca Falls. It overlooks the Athabasca River & among other peaks, Mount Fryatt. We did not see any goats when we visited this site one afternoon in August.

The Skywalk Biokovo, good place for admiring the views :)

Skywalk Biokovo is located at the Ravna Vlaška pass, at an elevation ot 1228 metres, right next to the info-centar at the 13th kilometre ot the Biokovo road. Opened in July 2020. The glass terrace is shaped like a horseshoe and is approximately 25 meters long. Its sides are attached to the rock, and the arch protrudes 12 meters above the edge of the rocky slope. You can get there by car, bus or scoote,r by the road leading to the summit of St. Jure.

Biokovo is the second-highest mountain range in Croatia, located along the Dalmatian coast of the Adriatic Sea, between the rivers of Cetina and Neretva and it's 36 km long and 9.5 km wide. Biokovo was established in the Cretaceous period (65 million years ago), during the collision of the African tectonic plate with the European one. Its highest peak is Sveti Jure (Saint George), at 1762 m.a.s.l., the second highest peak in Croatia. It shows a typical karst landscape. From the sea side, Biokovo is characterized by very steep and bare limestone walls, beneath which lies a narrow coastal strip. In 1981, the area of 19,550 ha was protected as the Biokovo Nature Park thanks to the unique values of geomorphological forms, plant and animal species and natural beauty.

Punkt widokowy nazywany "Skywalk Biokovo".

Biokovo – masyw górski, położony w środkowej części wybrzeża dalmatyńskiego, o długości 36 km i szerokości 9,5 km. Największy i najwyższy masyw w Dalmacji. Biokovo powstało w kredzie (65 milionów lat temu), podczas zderzenia afrykańskiej płyty tektonicznej z europejską. Jako część Masywu Dynarskiego tworzą go przeważnie eoceńskie pokłady i mezozoiczne skały osadowe.

Carreg Cennen Castle, Brecon Beacons National Park, Powys, Wales, UK

Carreg Cennen Castle (Welsh: Castell Carreg Cennen meaning castle (on the) rock (above the) Cennen) is a castle near the River Cennen, in the village of Trap, four miles south of Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, Wales. The castle is within the Brecon Beacons National Park, and its location has been described as spectacular, due to its position above a limestone precipice. It has been in a ruinous state since 1462 and is now in the care of Cadw, the Welsh Government historic environment service.

Fog burning away after dawn, Oregon Coast Range.

After leaving Skye we headed towards Inverary. As we headed east along the A87 we happened across an incredible pullout just west of Glen Garry Viewpoint West. While we only got a sliver of Loch Garry below, the light filtering through clouds and fog gave us an amazing scene. Of many mind-blowing views in Scotland, the clouds and light along our A87 drive were the craziest we saw in Scotland.

The Tufjord Viewpoint offers good views of one of the scenic fjords cutting into Magerøya Island, Norway. This fjord is sometimes used as a refuge for boats heading into the Arctic.

This viewing scope at Ballyholme Bay has rested here broken for many years. It serves to remind us to take the time to look around and enjoy the beautiful world around us.

Sometimes you need to change your Point of View

Looking towards a folie built as a viewpoint on Kinnoull Hill.

Alagna Valsesia. Italy.

One of my favourite viewpoint, Moanda pass, on the ridge connecting Monte Tagliaferro to Cima Carnera.

The name "Moanda" comes from the latin "mutantur", changing. It was once used to indicate the pastures for springs and autumn (probably during the XVI century, when the climate was much warmer), it is still common in the mountains of this region, Piedmont.

The Western divide of Valsesia is entirely visible here, with Corno Bianco, the rugged, rocky peak on the left, and Punta Straling towering above the other small summits.

In the lower right, you can see a road and a parking, they are not far from the trailhead. A bit above, in the center, the small settlement of Alpe Campo with its Lovely tarn.

After reaching the pass at 9.30 AM, I was tented to go on and climb the summit of Tagliaferro, but I had promised my wife that I would have reached her and our boy for lunch, in a lovely location not far from Alagna.

Respecting the schedule and keeping my promise revealed to be the right choice.

In the end dark clouds broke through the blue sky before noon, and the rain made its appareance just a bit later.

Being on the ridge of Tagliaferro under the rain is one of the most unpleasant things in the world. I still have the scars of the last time I walked up there, under the rain, and each time I look at those scars I feel lucky.

Strahov Garden Viewpoint

It’s no secret the view from Prague Castle is one of the best in the city, but what most visitors to Prague don’t know is there’s an even better view only a few minutes walk from the castle, from which you can see almost all of central Prague and the notable landmarks in the city’s skyline:

the green dome of the Church of St. Nicholas,

Žižkov TV Tower,

the National Theatre,

Náměstí Míru,

Vyšehrad, and

the Petřín TV Tower, as well as Prague Castle from above.

Catch the view in the right light, and you’ll quickly see why Prague is often referred to as the golden cit

Some say this is the best viewpoint in Phuket and who am I to argue? One thing is for sure - it was a huge effort to get up here from Naiharn Beach way down below in picture. You can see at least 7 other islands in this shot but there are more lurking in the overcast conditions.
