According to seaman tradition, a pig tattooed on the left foot and/or a rooster on the right would keep a sailor from drowning. Since neither of these animals can swim, they would would want to get the seaman back to shore as quickly as possible.

"Van," the owner of Esca, Burgers and Shakes (at Thanon Phra-Arthit) was preparing his Duck Spagetthi, one of the special menu of the day. His single-serve cooking let everyone in the restaurant tastes due to an excess of smoke seen in the picture. For those of you who are Thai or foreigners visiting Bangkok - make sure to stop by!
Deze foto is gemaakt op 9 juni 2014 bij de Iguazu watervallen in Brazilië/Argentinië.
Voordat ik naar Brazilië op stage ging, werd me gezegd dat ik de Iguazu watervallen, een van de 7 natuurwonderen, moest gaan bezichtigen. Dit heb ik gedaan op 8 juni, de Argentijnse kant, en 9 juni, de Braziliaanse kant. Na terugkomst was het wereldnieuws, de watervallen hadden het hoogste volumerecord bereikt van maar liefst 46 miljoen liter water per seconde, normaal 1,5 miljoen liter water per seconde. Het vorige record, 35 miljoen liter water per seconde, was bereikt in 1983. Met deze foto kan ik terugkijken naar een recorddag waar ik zelf bij mocht zijn.

Arrived in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) as start of the tour.
Visited the famous Cho Binh Tay market, The old post office,
some war museums in the city center including a walk around the reunification Palace.
Sidetrip from the city is a daytrip to the Cao Dai Temple and the
Cu Chi Tunnel complex
Next part of the tour is heading south to the Mekong Delta and Can-Tho, including a visit to the floating market.
From the Mekong delta the tour is heading north again, visiting coastal places Phan-Thiet, Nha-Trang and qiu-Nhon.
Hoi-an and Hue are both Unesco World Heritage sites and well worth to visit.
Passing the DMZ-zone, the scenery changes quickly.
The Phong-Nha and Tan-Coc caves are amazing.
Almost at the end of the tour, we bumped into the crazy Hanoi traffic in the old city center.
The citytour included a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum,
the Army museum and best of all ice coffee at 'Highlands Coffee'
Last part included Unesco World Heritage at Halong Bay
Stop-over in Hong-Kong on the way Home !
