I bought and rode this in Luxembourg for 3 years and then bought it with me when I returned to the UK. I lived in Luxembourg for 18 years and regret leaving, I live in the middle east now and my van van gets ridden on the odd occasion that I visit the UK
A leader in the world of painting is Vincent Van Gogh. And yet by today's standards he would be hardly recognizable as a leader. If he was walking towards me in Saline, I might want to cross the street unless he was carrying his painting tools.

I was walking home after ordering a delivery from Drinkies (the local liquor store) with my hands full of groceries and flowers and spotted this van. Well, this young man was out walking towards the van, talking to himself and just as I was going to take the photo, he pulled some keys out of his pocket. When I asked to take a photo of the van, he, of course, felt an obligation to pose with it.
Antieke Nemea - heiligom van Zeus - Korinthe - Griekenland
We bezoeken het antieke Nemea, het heiligdom van de Nemeïsche Zeus. Volgens de mytische overlevering heeft Heracles daar de Nemeïsche leeuw gewurgd en zijn als herinnering aan die heldendaad de Nemeïsche spelen gesticht. Deze werden elke twee jaar in panhelleens verband in het cipressenbos van het Heilige gebied gehouden.
Nemea (Grieks: Νεμέα) is een plaats en gemeente (dimos) in de voormalige Griekse nomos Korinthe, in de Griekse bestuurlijke regio (periferia) Peloponnesos, en gelegen op ca. 5 km van de gelijknamige antieke stad Nemea.
Het antieke Nemea raakte bekend, niet alleen door de mythe van Herakles die hier de zogenaamde leeuw van Nemea zou gedood hebben, maar ook in historische tijden, door de Nemeïsche Spelen die hier om de twee jaar plaatsvonden.
De bezienswaardigheden en het museum van het oude Nemea zijn opmerkelijk door de zorgvuldigheid waarmee de opgravingen zijn uitgevoerd en toegankelijk gemaakt. Deze opgravingen worden gedomineerd door een negental resterende Dorische zuilen van een Hellenistische (330-320 v.Chr.) Zeustempel. Slechts drie van de negen zuilen zijn altijd blijven staan, de andere zes zijn gereconstrueerd met de oorspronkelijke delen. Ook het 500 m oostwaarts gelegen stadion van de Nemeïsche Spelen is goed gerestaureerd, en het overzichtelijke museum toont een maquette van de opgravingen en interessante archeologische vondsten.

Siku have certainly milked this casting for all its worth and why not! Any diecast van lends itself well to full maximisation of colours and liveries especially when you have the benefit of not paying a license fee either. You won't find a single Mercedes name or logo on this casting, technically its generic but we can all quite clearly see its nothing less than a second generation Sprinter. Siku clearly know that producing oddball plastic generics just won't cut it, I wish somebody would tell Mattel, and so this lower priced item still manages to fulfil its quota of quality with a proper metal body, painted external detailing to lights and grille plus far better looking wheels.
Part of a three vehicle set found recently in Toyland who seem to have rediscovered their Siku mojo recently. Mint and boxed.
My wife took me to the Van Gogh exhibit in Salt Lake City for my birthday. It was a wonderful place for a photographer. Check out the projectors on the ceiling that are the source of the surrounding art. They seemlessly melded an ever-changing display of Van Gogh's work.
Parked up in the depot yard at Hamilton Road in Taunton on 3rd July 2006 was 21 year old Ford Transit 365 C927GYD, reduced to bus stop maintenance and other duties.
