So here's something you don't normally see on my photostream - wildlife!
I was amazed to see this beautiful Heron on the banks of the Kennet & Avon canal at the weekend - it wasn't at all bothered with me wandering around taken photos. I love the reflection from the perfectly still water and how amazingly sharp the Fuji X 55-200mm lens is.
Steam gently rises off a slow moving section of the Firehole River in Yellowstone National Park. Morning rays cast shadows while illuminating the far bank.

Good lights to all of you, fellows.
What a beautiful park, I wish I had more time to camp there.

peace and tranquility simple as that! captured at St.Michaels Mount in Cornwall. Stunning location with this as a view.....simply beautiful!

Eight seconds is really not long enough to absorb the movement of the large wheel, the turning on of the lights or the moon entering the scene.
I had a couple of stills in mind and made the TL as an afterthought while I waited for it to be dark enough for the long exposures.

Tranquility Park is a park in Downtown Houston, Texas, between Walker and Rusk Streets, and west of Smith Street, with the United States federal courts building for the Southern District of Texas on one side and Houston City Hall on the other. It takes its name from the Sea of Tranquility, where man first landed on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission on July 20, 1969.

As women, running a nice hot bath by candlelight is a tranquil time. It hit me... why not just try to capture that tranquility with my camera?

Human pain does not let go of its grip at one point in time. Rather, it works its way out of our consciousness over time. There is a season of sadness. A season of anger. A season of tranquility. A season of hope.

This is the little pond area at Sugar Mill Gardens. It looks different every time I visit these days. I love the little frog accent, as it lends a touch of tranquility to the scene. However, upon closer inspection, look at the BUGS on the leaves in the foreground! Welcome to Florida! They don't use insecticide there....

The setting is at Wannon River in the Nigretta and Wannon Falls Reserve in Western Victoria about 17 kilometres west of the country town of Hamilton, Australia. This scene is upstream of the Falls during the dry summer season so that the water was relatively slow flowing. The Serene tranquil setting makes for a relaxing day by the water even without the spectacles of white waters during the wetter part of the year
If we opened our minds to enjoyment, we might find tranquil pleasures spread about us on every side. We might live with the angels that visit us on every sunbeam, and sit with the fairies who wait on every flower. ~Samuel Smiles

Another day, another sunrise.
After Brazil demolition by Germany nothing better than to look at new horizons and get a fresh sunrise in your face to refresh the ideas. Life will carry on, better get your grips together and fight for every moment.
See you soon.

This is also part of my Nocturnal Landscape set, and is a 15 minute time exposure down by the CT river. Over this time span, the water becomes glassy, and reflects of the skyward light. Three misshapen rocks serve as an interruption to the flow with a stark silhouette.

When I was staying in Yangshuo at the Holland Inn which was an old farmers house turned into a mini hotel I rented a bike and drove for 4 hrs. I am not sure how I made it back but lets just say 2 weeks later my ass is still killing me. The one thing I noticed while biking on a dirt raod along the river was the amount of chinese tourists on the river on bamboo rafts. It was inane where I could not even take pictures as I felt it was ugly, I can also imagine the strain on the river with so many boats and people on it everyday!!! When I went there 12 years ago everything was so pure and clean but today my heart bleeds for this natural beauty of land. I was lucky to get couple of shots with no tourists on the water from the Dragon Bridge, Yangshuo.
