Sunflowers have popped up between the tracks in Carthage (Cincinnati). A Norfolk Southern engine (#6940) had just passed through hauling empty auto racks and can be seen - past the signals heading down the tracks.

Tetra Tech, a global environmental consulting firm, rented a water quality monitoring system from us to keep an eye on the Avalon Bay dredging project. Right next to CN Tower. One of the major train depot in Toronto. A bit too much tracks in the pix though, I think. However, love the contrasting colors of the train, the inspector and the rest of the picture.

The new unload track for the Fox Head Brewery has been laid, on the Waukesha County Gandy Dancers model railroad club layout. It's on top of foam, so I glued it down, aligning it with a 3' steel rule. No track nails needed here, either, since I had several WSOR paperweights to hold it down...
Mojave National Preserve. Solve the mystery of what took place on this sand dune based on the tracks.
The bamboo construction is part of the Folkestone triennial art festival. The abandoned tracks led to the railway station at the harbours edge.
Fernleigh Track , Newcastle and Hunter region.
The Fernleigh Track is for walkers and bicycle riders. It follows
the course of a railway track built in the 1880s , to carry coal to Newcastle. Features of the track are the 180 metre long tunnel and the bushland corridor it follows for much of the way. I have ridden various parts of the track , but finally completed the 22kms from Adamstown to Swansea and back. Pizza for lunch was great. Swansea is a lakeside suburb on the edge of the largest saltwater coastal lake, Lake Macquarie, in NSW.
I cross these to get over to Western Avenue Studios to meet with my partners in Human Good Magazine.
