The ship named OCEARCH, built in 1990, was operated by a nonprofit organization with the same name. The ship is used to collect data from the ocean for the purpose of tracking and studying marine species. According to the organization its purpose is to accelerate the ocean’s return to balance and abundance.

Yes I know I should of had a scantily clad woman here in a provocative pose but I just didn't see any around at the time.

I suddenly stop in the middle of a railroad track and took this.

I don't know much about rail but one of the Transfield crew told me this machine is able to lift sleepers and distribute the rubble underneath in order to keep the tracks level. A pretty cool looking machine I think.

Tracks left by snowmobiles across a valley during the morning sun in Brantford, Ontario.

Lost under the ground is a tram tunnel, 365 metres long linking Port Mulgrove harbour and the old ironstone mine, now abandoned. Once horses would have pulled trucks through here, and even though it has been left since 1916, the track bolts and sleepers are still preserved.

A section crew checking out a track switch in the Canadian Pacific rail yard in La Crosse, Wisconsin.

While everyone else is looking the other way at the new station, I'm looking down the tracks.

Even though this shot is a bit overexposed, I like it better because it hides most of the flaws and highlights the tracks a bit better.
