White Sands Missile Range Museum
In the years following World War II, White Sands Missile Range became a key ordnance testing facility for the United States Military with researchers making huge advances in unmanned rocket and missile technologies. These were only half the story, however, as missiles in flight proved to be difficult test subjects. Researchers adapted the latest camera and telescope technologies of the day as a way to answer the questions that arose during test flights like-

TRACK is a unique art experience in the public and semi public space of the city of Ghent. It offers surprising, enriching and unexpected encounters with the city, its history and its inhabitants and incites to reflect upon urban realities and the contemporary human condition in a broader sense. 41 international artists were invited to conceive new art works that are strongly rooted in the urban fabric of Ghent but link the local context with issues of global significance.

Het biedt verrassende, verrijkende en onverwachte ontmoetingen met de stad, zijn geschiedenis en zijn inwoners en zet mensen ertoe aan te reflecteren over stedelijke realiteiten en de hedendaagse condition humaine in ruime zin. 41 internationale kunstenaars werden uitgenodigd om nieuw werk te creëren dat diep geworteld is in het stedelijke weefsel van Gent, maar dat de lokale context ook verbindt met thema’s die een universele relevantie hebben.
It would be nice if this track was no longer used by the railroad. It could become the perfect route from my house to the office.
