TRACK is a unique art experience in the public and semi public space of the city of Ghent. It offers surprising, enriching and unexpected encounters with the city, its history and its inhabitants and incites to reflect upon urban realities and the contemporary human condition in a broader sense. 41 international artists were invited to conceive new art works that are strongly rooted in the urban fabric of Ghent but link the local context with issues of global significance.

Het biedt verrassende, verrijkende en onverwachte ontmoetingen met de stad, zijn geschiedenis en zijn inwoners en zet mensen ertoe aan te reflecteren over stedelijke realiteiten en de hedendaagse condition humaine in ruime zin. 41 internationale kunstenaars werden uitgenodigd om nieuw werk te creëren dat diep geworteld is in het stedelijke weefsel van Gent, maar dat de lokale context ook verbindt met thema’s die een universele relevantie hebben.

I asked him what he'd like to do if I picked him up early from school. He said he wanted to go to the pump track. So we went! Because of my injured shoulder - he was the only one riding. 6th birthday.
Is there anything more beautiful (or more difficult to photograph) than blazing sun on snow?
At first I tried to eliminate the tracks in this shot, but then decided that they were part of it. It looks like the flower stalks might have even made them...
It would be nice if this track was no longer used by the railroad. It could become the perfect route from my house to the office.
