He just looked at me as if wondering why I was taking his photo. He really was such a cute little dog.
He could pose as the prototype for 'Smug Mug'!
A new life is born, so tiny and fragile. It is a beginning of a new chapter for both the Father and little Sandra. I would like to see little Sandra grow up to be a fine lady.
We were very lucky indeed with our trip with Andrew.
Not only did we have our first view of the red sun ray at Tao Yuan's sunset, we also saw this tiny piece of rainbow reflected in the sky. I don't know what is it called, but it's pretty interesting to us city folks :p
Update: I finally found out that it is called a Sun Dog (scientific name parhelion ):

On 27 July 2014, a few of us had a "tour" of a naturalist's garden, as part of an Open House here in the city. I was glad to have the chance to take a few photos of some colourful flowers, including Showy Milkweed.. This tiny Crab Spider had obviously slowly changed its colour to camouflage itself against the yellow flowers on which it was first found. In a comment box below is another photo of the same spider, posted previously.
"Thomisidae do not build webs to trap prey, though all of them produce silk for drop lines and sundry reproductive purposes; some are wandering hunters and the most widely known are ambush predators. Some species sit on or beside flowers or fruit, where they grab visiting insects. Individuals of some species, such as Misumena vatia, are able to change color over a period of some days, to match the flower on which they are sitting. Some species frequent promising positions among leaves or bark, where they await prey, and some of them will sit in the open, where they are startlingly good mimics of bird droppings.
These spiders may be yellow or white, depending on the flower in which they are hunting. Especially younger females, which may hunt on a variety of flowers such as daisies and sunflowers, may change color "at will". Older females require large amounts of relatively large prey to produce the best possible clutch of eggs. They are therefore, in North America, most commonly found in goldenrod (Solidago sp.), a bright yellow flower which attracts large numbers of insects, especially in autumn. It is often very hard even for a searching human to recognize one of these spiders on a yellow flower. The color change from white to yellow takes between 10 and 25 days, the reverse about six days." So I try not to look at any of the momiji dolls because I think their cuteness is a VERY VERY Slippery slope BUT I was so upset I missed the Calavera momiji that I just positively had to have the new Halloween one for this year <3

These tiny birds are frequent visitors here. The flocks are constantly on the move in our bushes and tree branches as they search for bugs.

One of the more interesting things about life is the sorts of places it seems to be prepared to put up with living in. This tiny seedling is growing in the gap between two honking great stones on top of the wall between my local GP's surgery and the delivery yard of the supermarket next door. Not sure what its long term prospects are, but it sure seems to be making a go of it!
The #MacroMondays theme for 2/3 is ring - jewelry one can wear on a finger, to further clarify. Am thinking I’ll try this with the macro clip-on lens later.
Btb, the ring is on a sparkly pipe cleaner because our littlest kitty knocks everything off the counter!

Re-visiting some photos I took while high in the air on a cable car over the town of Matlock Bath in Derbyshire, UK. When the weather is nice, it's a great place to visit. Even when it's wet like on this photo - it has a certain charm....
