Taken at Mogareeka Inlet near Tathra on the Far South Coast of NSW. A bit hard to find the track down to this area as overgrown after our continuing wet times of the last year or two. This is where the Bega River enters the Tasman Sea. The sandbank is the northern end of Tathra Beach.
For the MM theme Small and Smaller two tiny bears, almost too fiddly to arrange properly. The little bear is under 1" and the bigger one less than 1 1/2". I cut two flowers of an artificial twig (it feels like a twig, being so hard and stroppy) just to give it some extra colour. The bears kept falling over so I didn't have much leeway with the tiny props. Although I can move the arms and legs of both bears, they don't stay where you put them but snap back to the original position.
Still, I am quite impressed by the quality of both bears, they feel heavy and solid. I have used the big one for MM before but the little one I only found recently and I wanted to use it badly.
This is a double exposure, taken with Oreston 50mm f1.8 and 12mm extension tube.
Ferns are in our back yard...
For Macro Mondays - Zigzag
--------------------------------------------
I spotted this tiny basket ornament with a zigzag pattern at a World Market store. The entire ornament measures 2.5 inches by 2 inches. HMM, everyone.
Not far away from my home there is this wonderful and small place in the middle of a forest. And every year in spring I can experience how nature brings everything to life … like this wonderful field of wild garlic. Some weeks ago I already posted one image from last year and it was clear that I will show you also one from this year. I hope you enjoy this image here ;-)
On my Facebook site I posted also some thoughts I made … a sort of technical approach on the field when I make images like this one here. For those who are interested feel free to visit my page.

They’re perfectly camouflaged to blend into the garden soil and are only about 3/4” long
Once again many thanks for visits, comments and faves, much
appreciated!
For the Smile on Saturday “Triptych” theme, I offer a trio of tiny insects found on a single hike in a conservation area where I live.
On the left is a Meadow Froghopper ( Philaenus spumarius), about 1/4 inch in length. These insects are said to be capable of jumping remarkable distances, up to 100 times their body length.
I am less certain about the creature in the center, but I think it may be what is commonly known as an Alfalfa Plant Bug (Adelphocoris lineolatus). These bugs, about 3/8 inch long, are known as agricultural pests that cause damage to alfalfa and other crops.
On the right, I think, is a species of “long-legged fly” called Condylostylus longicornis. Typically anywhere from 1/10 inch to 1/3 inch long, they are known for their metallic color. They are predators said to be beneficial to gardens and ecosystems, as they prey on small insects, including aphids and spider mites.

Tiny for the "Happy Caturday" theme "Profile view".
I apologize for not posting for the last week's theme, I've had an unexpected and not very pleasant motif.
"Having a bunch of cats around is good. If you're feeling bad, you just look at the cats, you'll feel better because they know that everything is just as it is. There's nothing to get excited about. They just know. They're saviors." - Charles Bukowski
All's well now and I'm happy to tell you that Aki is a bit better than last weekend.
Have a very happy Caturday!
