A view over to the Isle of Arran with the sun dropping behind the island, taken looking over one of the tidal pools at Saltcoats.
The structure to the left sits at the end of the sea wall and is a viewing tower.

Saltcoats is a small town on the West Coast of Scotland,
This name is derived from the town's earliest industry when salt was harvested from the sea water, carried out in small cottages along the beach.

It reminded me of Starcaptain's adventures in poetry.
Part 2 after my Frostbite photo.
I can't stop pairing abstracted architecture and the word "wave" hahaha
My mind probably just sees the ocean a lot in many of my abstract photos.

The beautiful Tidal River, on Wilson's Prom in Victoria, Australia. Spent the weekend camping next to the river, and it is a truly special place to visit...
Another artist shot from the 2012 Centennial National Cherry Blossom Festival. It was interesting to watch the photographers flock around this lady. One has to wonder what she thought of that.
Single exposure hand held shot.

I need to try this one again; it's hard to lay down on the sidewalk and get just the right point of view.
I was looking for something a little different from my usual Cherry Blossom photos. So made it out in an evening of low cloud cover and shot this near the paddling boat parking lot on the tidal basin. The place is lit up like a carnival, with no one there. I wanted to use the foreground light with the blossoms and use the Washington Monument in the background to create some abstract work.... wanted to have it look like a monotone Japanese block print....
