I had been transported to B&W heaven on this sunset photo shoot at Perran Sands, Cornwall !!! Everything seemed to fall into place. Perfect tide....no people....no footprints in the sand !! Really hope you all like this image, and your feedback will be most welcome. Have a great day.
We all get to choose who enters our life, but not when they exit. Some people are as unpredictable as the winds and some are tried and as true as the nightly tides. The waves of life bring many surprises to the shore. It's up to you which to pick up.
I'm collecting my thoughts today as another hurricane forms in the Atlantic. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims of Harvey.
Happy Labor Day weekend to all my American friends!
Happy Sunday to you all!
The sunset disappears over land to the far right during summer months but earlier in the year you can still catch if with a fair walk out into the sea at low tide. The boats save the day as far as foreground interest is concerned. Thanks for looking :-)

The structure for the floating pier at Haines, Alaska, is designed to account for tidal variations of 20 or more feet.
I composed this shot as the tide was coming in... but in the first instance it just was not working for me... the level of the water was lower and the ledge you see in this shot below the waves was exposed. I just felt the shot was imbalanced so I waited for it to rise and cover the rock and I just felt it just made the shot work. Thankfully I always go to do seascapes with my older tripod which I don't mind sitting in the seawater and my wellies as it was a good 8" deep by the time I was content.

Eilean Donan Castle sitting upon a tidal island at the meeting point of three sea lochs, Loch Duich, Loch Long and Loch Alsh. I stopped briefly just passing through on my way to the Isle of Skye so had to make-do with the time of day and weather as it was, though I am pleased with the results here. Enjoy!
Back to the Beach. From December of 2012: Sunrise at Southern Shores on the Outer Banks of NC. Have a great weekend and thanks for the visit.
