As the tide starts to come in, these rocks are slowly eaten up each day. Today I was around at the right time to capture the tide spilling over these rocks in the San Francisco Bay.

This is the Northton saltings, down on the southern tip of Harris—a place where the tide gently scribbles through the land like a calligrapher in a meditative trance. Shot from the drone on a still morning, it’s a quiet mosaic of tidal inlets and grassy hummocks, all leading the eye to that stately hill in the distance. It’s a wonderful example of how drone photography can reveal the abstract rhythms of the land—patterns that are all but invisible from the ground

A view over to the Isle of Arran with the sun dropping behind the island, taken looking over one of the tidal pools at Saltcoats.
The structure to the left sits at the end of the sea wall and is a viewing tower.

Saltcoats is a small town on the West Coast of Scotland,
This name is derived from the town's earliest industry when salt was harvested from the sea water, carried out in small cottages along the beach.

Part 2 after my Frostbite photo.
I can't stop pairing abstracted architecture and the word "wave" hahaha
My mind probably just sees the ocean a lot in many of my abstract photos.
A wider angle view over the tidal pools at Saltcoats.
With the sun having set over the distant Isle of Arran, the sky and clouds lit up nicely.
