Taken at Harrington Marina and Shore looking down the jetty out to sea with tidal break barriers on the left made out of Workington Steal Rails
It is essential to arrive before the sun has risen too high. A hazy light cloud with the sunlight a little diffused. To get all these pre-requisites on a morning when the tide is low is the start of a happy hour or so.
Voilà, l'avion a tourné, il est très proche d'atterrir. Les passagers sur le côté gauche de l'avion ont une super vue lors de la descente sur le Potomac.

Après l’atterrissage, l'hôtesse se trompe et dit "Ladies & and Gentlemen, welcome to Pittsburgh" (bienvenue à Pittsburgh.. ) Elle s'excuse "Sorry, I could not avoid that" (désolée, je n'ai pas pu éviter ça) , tout le monde rigole, et elle se reprend "welcome to Washingon DC" :)
Hors sujet, mais même situation à New York, avec atterrisage à La Guardia et descente sur Manhattan :

Not a HDR composition, but a simple exposure blend of 4 images together to bring out the dynamic colors.
Gazos Creek runs through it on the near side. Last time we were here the creek emptied into the ocean about 150 yards/meters farther south.
