This MOC is a Neo-Classic Space base inspired by Classic Space LEGO from the 80s but using the range of pieces and building techniques now available.

This picture/postcard came into my possession recently. It is a view of Wollaton Village centre near Nottingham, England, between c.1933 and 1948. The tall pipe on the left, a sewer vent, was installed in 1933 when the main drains were laid for the first time, and the area in the foreground was the site of a new scout club wooden building in 1948 - hence the date range. St Leonard's Church, from the early 1200s, is on the right, and the large building on the left is the Admiral Rodney pub. The building dates from the C17th. The site in the foreground is now that of St Leonard's Community Centre built in 2004 and the public library is now to the right where the trees and bushes are.

This wren, (Bewick's or House) was waiting for the rain to pass, doing a little cleaning along the way.

This is NOT a bird in the wild. His name is Max, and he is an ambassador bird at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum.

This working took me by surprise and the camera was not quite ready. Here we see Rail Cargo Hungaria (part of OBB) Taurus locomotive 1116 045 working the 12:35 service from Budapest-Keleti to Wien Hbf on the very hot afternoon of the 28/8/23. The train was captured passing through Szoney, Hungary.

This memorial in Berlin consists of 2,711 stellae (concrete blocks) of various sizes placed over a large area in the centre of Berlin. Only a few of the blocks are visible here.

We were told by our guide that there was some controversy over the chemical they use to coat the stellae in order to stop graffiti. Apparently it is made by I G Farben, the same company that manufactured Zyklon B during the 2nd World War.

This bus was new to Lothian Buses as 349 in 2009.

Seen here at Dalkeith.

This bus was having issues with a maintance van on call.

This past weekend was the church Confirmation Class retreat at Camp Greenkill. Again the youth did the low ropes course

This is what I saw when I was standing on the sky bridge, more like floating in the mid air to enjoy the autumn foliage to the fullest.

No wonder Tofuku-ji is rated as #1 spot for autumn foliage in Kyoto.

This series (147 photos) of this beautiful model have been shot with the a7 IV running the old 1.0 Firmware with Eye-AF issues.

You can find more photos of her in the albums.

This English country house was built by the honorable Mary Isabel Portman from London in 1913, who was an independent 36 year old lady with a big fondness for classical music. She herself was a passionate violin player.

The house was built based on the plans of Detmar Blow and Ferdinand Billerey, two English architects who were inspired by the Arts & Crafts Movement of the era.

Unfortunately Mary Portman have never been able to enjoy staying at this house, due to the outbreak of the 1st World War.

In 2007 the house was carefully renovated and turned into a luxury hotel. There is an attached flat wooden building with a spa and wellness area.

It is recommended that guests do not bring children.

The house is located not far from Mittenwald in a valley. The backdrop is the massive Wetterstein Range that is not visible on my photos due to the gloomy weather.

I understand that people come here to have peace and quiet, and it is also a very lucrative business for the hotel owners.

I myself, however, prefer to go to such places on my feet, take my kid with me, and sleep in a simple wooden hut with simple meals. I think it makes you respect and appreciate the beauty of the place more if you walk there, instead of driving there. It is more natural, if you respect the way of life people have in the area and adjust to them.

This one is from back in June. I was looking through the archives looking for something to do. Boredom resolved. :-)

Cathedral Gorge State Park, NV

This evening I debated whether I should venture out on account of the thunderstorms in the area. Optimism won out and I headed down this way. All the way I thought it would be a waste of a drive but I continued nonetheless. When I got out of the car there was thunder, lightning and light rain. I stuck through it and for about an hour the weather held off. This is a twenty-five second exposure I took about a half hour after sunset. Tonight the cloud colors were best when the sun was well below the horizon. I shot several of these until the rain started up again then drove home through the pouring rain. Chalk one up for optimism.

This ladybird larva thought it had found a quiet private place to shed it's skin....

This time with wings ...

This is the last photo of my "subway" series.

This little jumping spider was guarding his 'diamond' with his life!

This was Arriva Scotland West's Johnstone depot in May 1998 and five Dennis Dart SLF / Alexander ALX200 B40F have just been delivered. The registration plates were still being fitted and destination and ticketing equipment had yet to be fitted. The buses would remain white for use on the Glasgow Airport Service with branding applied.

This girl is starting to take shape. Here she is with her new cow lids.

Just her hair colour to decide on and a couple of eyechip colours.

This is an Old train station, is still working (looks like not), it has 150 years.

This is what happens, children, if you leave your toys out at night! They will steal your marbles! Or maybe even the moon! Happy Toy-in-the-frame Thursday!

this mercenary is known for his prowess with most weapons, his history of never failing a job, and his obscene prices

this was taken after Naneh went to the vet. Egbert (the ginger kitty) was only 7 months old at the time and had never been alone in the house without naneh and he got quite distressed. When she got home, she was a bit tired and cranky and just wanted to sleep on the sofa, and he ran over draped his paws around her.

This is blooming well after Christmas, but it is definitely a species of genus Schlumbergera. Taken by Edgar.

This was at the International Kite Festival in Bristol a couple of years ago. Another of those images that I have been sitting on, waiting to try something a bit different with it. OK, so mono isn't very original but it helps concentrate the eye on the shapes made by the kite without the distraction of colour.

This little hover was really enjoying this giant thistle. HBBBT everyone!

One of my bestfriends right here, he has been there for me ever since California.

Ohh my, the weather has been amazing the past two days, I've been playing outside all day long

This Peacock was happy doing just nothing except open and close its eyes occasionally.

Taken at Arlington Court near Ilfracombe in July.

This is two of the four recently fledged Red-breasted Nuthatches in our yard.

This, we are reliably informed by my chum's wee lad, is one of the most feared supernatural menaces in our world today, the dreaded Chair Zombie. Always amazing how a kid can turn even something as mundane as a chair into a toy to play with. I managed to casually get a quick snap while he was busy playing Chair Zombie and menacing the restaurant

This is the dessert plating for our cheesecake mousse. It has caramelized apples, caramelized pistachios, dried apple slice, white chocolate decor and a milk chocolate caramel sauce. My chef loved this, but I felt something was missing in the corner so I added the cookies (shown in my other pic). In resturant setting I wouldn't add the cookies though, but I already made them so I said -why not.

This miracle rock hangs on the edge of the cliff as though it will fall off anytime. Worshipers (men only allowed) will paste gold foil on the rock to offer their prayers.

This Marshal Bodied single deck Leyland Leopard has a 680 engine. I bet the drivers loved that it must be flying machine.

This is 'Paintpots' by Sophie Ryder, part of her exhibition in the grounds of Salisbury Cathedral. I've searched the internet but can't find any clue to its name.

Sophie Ryder’s world is one of mystical creatures, animals and hybrid beings made from sawdust, wet plaster, old machine parts and toys, weld joins and angle grinders, wire ‘pancakes’, torn scraps of paper, charcoal sticks and acid baths. For Sophie Ryder, making art is much more than a profession, it is a compulsion. Much of her work is on a large scale and is designed with public spaces in mind, competing either with large buildings in an urban context, or else the grandeur of nature in a landscape setting.

This ship is the Celebrity Infinity cruise ship.

This baby Indian Cobra (Naja naja) was found just a couple houses down from this public playground. I set up this shot to illustrate how common snakes are in the city, and how little fear the locals have of them. The boy was completely safe. This cobra was only about 30 cm long, and the boy was about 7 meters away, but with my wide angle lens it looks much closer. In Pune, India

This rare phenomenon was captured during strong Aurora in the UK last month.

This is NOT John Lennon and Yoko Ono. It is couple at a public event in Angels Camp, CA USA

This proud curlew was foraging in the prairie vegetation, washed with beautiful warm early morning sunrise light and colour.

SE. Alberta.

this photo was edited by lightroom for vertical lens correction only. the color and exposure was not touched

thanks to all of you for support and advice

this video has been done at The Crypt during my DJ set and it is a gift from Serendipity Dyrssen, thank you so much for the amazing Job.

This Buybacks location reuses a former Color Tile location. If memory serves correctly, there was a North Coast Beds store here at one time too.
