This was a grain storage facility for Budweiser back in the day. I caught it just as a storm was moving in, and loved the silhouette. I also really liked the reflection of sunlight in the windows.

This ole house once knew his children
This ole house once knew a wife
This ole house was home and comfort
As we fought the storms of life
This old house once rang with laughter
This old house heard many shouts
Now she trembles in the darkness
When the lightnin' walks about
(Ain't a-gonna need this house no longer)
(Ain't a-gonna need this house no more)
Ain't got time to fix the shingles
Ain't a-got time to fix the floor
Ain't got time to oil the hinges
Nor to mend no windowpane
Ain't a-gonna need this house no longer
She's a-gettin' ready to meet the saints
This ole house is gettin' shaky
This ole house is gettin' old
This ole house lets in the rain
This ole house lets in the cold
On my knees I'm gettin' chilly
But I feel no fear nor pain
'Cause I see an angel peekin'
Through the broken windowpane
(Ain't a-gonna need this house no longer)
(Ain't a-gonna need this house no more)
Ain't got time to fix the shingles
Ain't a-got time to fix the floor
Ain't got time to oil the hinges
Nor to mend no windowpane
Ain't a-gonna need this house no longer
She's a-gettin' ready to meet the saints
This ole house is afraid of thunder
This ole house is afraid of storms
This ole house just groans and trembles
When the night wind flings out its arms
This ole house is gettin' feeble
This old house is needin' paint
Just like me it's tuckered out
But I'm a-gettin' ready to meet the saints
(Ain't a-gonna need this house no longer)
(Ain't a-gonna need this house no more)
Ain't got time to fix the shingles
Ain't got time to fix the floor
Ain't got time to oil the hinges

This is a photo from a few days ago on an early morning in Hasliberg. I went out to photograph the sunrise and came across this small frozen puddle with this stone in it. I really liked how the lins in the ice formd around it, almoust like magnetic field lines. I stopped and took some pictures. It a focus stacked image, as I was to close to get it all in one shot.

This series contains a various scene taken on the Happo-one surrounding a giant sea of a cloud.
The ridge floating on a cloud is Tomi-one extending to the mountaintop of Mt. Goryu.
This is the most magical photo I brought back from my Madeira trip. A little treasure for me, because being able to capture such a fleeting moment is something very special.
Originally we had planned something completely different for this day. And we were on the mountains on the opposite side. As you can already guess from here, the visibility was rather low there (it was basically close to zero). However, since we had once worked our way up what felt like 10,000 switchbacks on a very narrow and steep road (half of them in the fog and rain), we looked for an alternative nearby. This was then the valley of the nuns, a beautiful place in the middle of the mountains,
Opposite the small church, which can be seen at the front edge of the village, we had a coffee and the owner encouraged us to drive up here.
Since it was still raining on the other side of the valley, but the sun was just breaking through the cloud cover here, this fantastic rainbow suddenly appeared while we were still hiking.
You can probably imagine the rush that broke out for me to get the camera out of my backpack in time. This is one of two photos I was able to take, after which the rainbow was gone.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting my friends piglets, they were just so gorgeous running around and playing together.I had a wonderful couple of hours giving mum a rub, lying in the muck and photographing them with a clear conscience.

This small owl was introduced to the UK in the 19th century. It can be seen in the daylight, usually perching on a tree branch, telegraph pole or rock. It will bob its head up and down when alarmed. In flight it has long, rounded wings, rapid wingbeats and flies with a slight undulation.
Breeding Bird Survey data suggest that little owl numbers are declining, with the UK population estimated to be down by 24 per cent between 1995 and 2008. What they eat: Small mammals and birds, beetles and worms.
The little owl can be found in England and Wales, with a few in southern Scotland. It likes lowland farmland with hedges and copses, parkland and orchards. Most common in central, southern and south eastern England and the Welsh borders (Courtesy RSPB).
Thanks for viewing my photos and for any favourites and comments, it’s much appreciated 👍
This little red-necked grebe was an eating machine! It gobbled up about 5 fish and 2 dragonflies in an hour!
This small stretch of beach offered a peace and quiet as if one was alone in the world. At most, there was a gentle ripple of the river. A place that captivates you.

this might be the first in a small serious of this particular bird.
Had much fun watching him over about an hour session of photography.
This picture is a render I did some 5 years ago using Poser software. I think that I managed not only to capture a good likeness of her face but also her figure. I used 3 point lighting. The shadows accentuate the curves of her figure. : )
This image of Burnham-on-Sea low lighthouse, taken at first light, is my first image posted in 2020. Hopefully, it will be the first of many this year.
Thank you for dropping by and feel free to leave a comment, good or bad.

This was originally called an Orchestral mandolin, then became popular with gondoliers. Production stopped, then two Sicilian brothers began making a number of historical instruments. The mandolin in contemporary times became known as the Pocket mandolin, and sort of a cult instrument. The Luther had them priced from about 300 dollars to 15,000. They all had the same woods, hardware and quality of production, What made the difference in price was the art work. This cost me 650 at the time, I think 3rd step up. The sound is wonderful and unique. The music score, Childgrove, was the first tune I learned on it.
This is my Cuban friend, the Cuban Tody. They are nice bird to see, observe and photograph. They are quite small, and I can often detect them in the bushes by a rather 'chit chit' sound they make.
Voici mon ami cubain, le Cuban Tody. Ce sont de jolis oiseaux à voir, à observer et à photographier. Ils sont assez petits, et je peux souvent les détecter dans les buissons par un son plutôt "chit chit" qu'ils font.
