L.A. California downtown. A little tired of the constant rain in Toronto with threat of tornado touch down today and missing sunny California. The beautiful windows in old and well maintained buildings. Some where here is the jewellery district with glistening well carved stones that I would look at but never wear. Curious that I should miss Hollywood since I rarely watch Hollywood movies.
Going north tomorrow. Sold the house, sold the car.
Lighting a last candle. Lying awake through the long night.
That was yesterday, I'm on my way now. Lookinh back all the way.. Always doing the wrong thing. Always kept going forward, though. Northward this time.
Yes, I burned your letters.
KHOP.
I`m standing at an altitude of more than one kilometer, the journey up the slope of the fell was long and sweaty, but I have enjoyed every step, almost. The fell's name is Saana and it`s said to be the most beautiful fell in Finland. The scenery from up here is amazing too, lakes and snow-capped fells. The wind is also strong, I have put on all the clothes in my backpack, a wool hat and gloves, a warm jacket. I have my hair braided and the strong wind is blowing them around my head, I must look funny lol. I sit sheltering from the wind next to a big stone and open the thermos bottle, the wonderful scent of coffee fills the air... Here is everything I need at this moment.

Matthew Raetzel - This Is War (Feat. Richard Farrell)
"Welcome
To the untold
Take a deep breathe
Take the higher road
It's what they always say
As if they know the way
They won't take it from me
But don't ever doubt yourself
'cause life ain't just a dream
You make your own
So kick and scream
The people will act
With a neverending force
You never had the chance
So whatcha' waitin' for?
The day has come my friend
'cause this is war
It's time and this is war
It's time and this is war
War..."
Sunrise this morning .
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.
In this uncontainable night,
be the mystery at the crossroads of your senses,
the meaning discovered there.

Eyes - Babe Eyes by Go & See
This capture makes me feel really uncomfortable; like an itch at the back of the eye.
Just. Odd.
Normal services will resume another day...
This is a picture from April 2020, i.e. the first lockdown. I took this with the phone and I wasn't pleased with the quality of the shot. I thought I'd go back one day with the camera and take it again. In 2021 they had put an extra fence around it and goats were making the area in front of the tree very untidy. In 2022, somehow, I missed the blooming altogether. This year a car was parked right next to the tree and then it rained until the blossoms were gone. I will try again if I get a chance but I thought I would like to post this, if only for the emptiness of it.
One part of me is in the dark but the bright side is the one I choose, the bigger part. The place to continue the progress. .
And bones and nerves are ok today! 😊

This is a small part of an exhibit at Birmingham Museum.
The artwork was done by Donald Rodney (1961- 1998) and titled as "Land of Milk and Honey II" Rodney was born in Birmingham. He used objects in his work to explore aspects of the human experience. His father migrated to Smethwick from the Carribean in the mid 20th century, in search of a better life in the "Land of Milk and Honey" The Vitrine contains coins and milk. They represent the 'sourced' reality many migrants actually experienced. The material he used will deteriorate and change over time.

...You used to spend the night in smoke, not in the clouds
But you keep your eyes open at night
And you’ll shut down all the curtains when the sun shines
Keep your distance from this light...
