Chaffinch making several attempts to land on a feeder, not really very successfully! Tho it did give me opportunity for trying some flight shots :)

was so wonderfully sunny compared to recently, so we headed off to the woods. Yesterday was non-stop rain, so I expected it to be muddy, and I wasn't wrong ! Sinking up to my ankles in mud, Marnie lightly ran over it and chased squirrels (unsuccessfully) so it was a very happy time. OK, she did get a bit mucky, but it was worth it !
Processed in Topaz Studio and finished off in Picmonkey with a light texture of my own, hope you like it !
I truly wish we could send a lot of our rain and flood water to all who so desperately need water in the drought and fire-stricken areas of the world.

Even in this darkest of times, there are so many who give love and support to others here in our little SL world. Found this image while I was cleaning out the SD card, taken earlier of the year with the Fujifilm X-T20 (retired). The timestamp feature was broken (I dropped the camera during the blackout from the freaky winter freeze storm - felt like a century ago!) but it should be within 30 minutes after sunrise @6:51AM.

Loch Linnhe near Port Appin in Argyll and Bute. Castle Stalker is in the distance in the middle of the shot. It is built on a small island on Loch Laich, an inlet off Loch Linnhe .
The original castle was a small fort, built around 1320 by Clan McDougall. Around 1388 the Stewarts took over the Lordship of Lorn, and it is believed that they built the castle in its present form around the 1440s.
Castle Stalker is now in private ownership and is open to the public at selected times during the summer.

This mandarin pass 2 times a year near to my home.
He stays here during 3 weeks then he fly away.
Amazing to see that despites their incredible colors , They are almost invisible in winter light amongs the red/yellow leaves.

"Shine On You Crazy Diamond", was written as a tribute to Syd Barrett, one of the founders of Pink Floyd. He was also known as "The Crazy Diamond Syd". Barrett was a very creative musician and is considered one of the rock icons, with a strong influence on many artists, very especially to David Bowie. Syd Barrett is a key piece to understand the evolution of rock in the 70s.. Excessive drug use, especially LSD, caused him serious mental health problems. Syd Barrett died in 2006 at the age of 60.
