When you find out that you loaded a roll of 400 speed film thinking it’s black and white ..because that’s what you always shoot and then it turns out to be Fuji Pro 400H.. and you somehow shoot it in the fall.. I guess we’ll call that serendipity.

I think it was Napoleon who described the English as a nation of shopkeepers, and when I was a young lad in London, it seemed that every street corner had a small shop. I was actually doing my Economics A level in 1964 when Retail Price Maintenance was abolished. Until that happened, you couldn't sell goods for less than the minimum price set by the manufacturer. We forecast then that it would mean the end of small shops, as supermarkets could undercut them.
There are still a few village shops left, mainly where there is no nearby supermarket. The village shop at Hornby in the north of Lancashire (pictured) is excellent and seems to sell everything. But the local villages near where we live have all lost their village shops. The last budget can only hasten the end of those still remaining.
Some think that these birds have grown accustomed to seeing my canoe on the bayou, but I’ve spent far too little time on the bayou and they are just like every other animal that you encounter. Some are willing to stick around and keep a wary eye on the photographer while other bolt or fly away long before I ever reach for my camera. This particular Green Heron was doing a bit of preening and my extremely slow and methodical approach allowed me to get well inside of its comfort zone without departing. I wish I had an explanation, but it’s just the way it happens with each encounter and each one is different. This bayou leprechaun even turned its back on me and continued to make sure that all of those feathers were in proper working order. And no, there’s not a lot of green showing in the plumage. A crowd of tourists scattered on the trails is taking photos in rocks, plants and everything that moves.

unleashing smiles to 32 teeth and scarves fluttering in the light breeze ...
Horizon, dark clouds seem to portend a storm, something quite common though not frequently.
The waters of the Colorado in the valley flow lazy, indifferent, as if waiting ...
Now the clouds seem to have started running, perhaps in memory of Appaloosa, which in times of Pinto
far they have galloped on these wild territories.
The first drops of rain begin to fall and people run for cover in their multicolored tins
for fear of wetting their precious smartphone!
I try and find shelter in a rock and the safety net that marks the paths.
The rain falls abundant. water blades hit the river without scratching it, flashes of bright light illuminate
its surface, the dust rises like a veil to hide the rocks made even redder by the rain.
Seedlings, until a moment before, seemed on the verge of dying, flourished again as if by magic.
It presents an incredible landscape and magnificent!

Like Most Men my age, I grew Up in an Era where Comic Books where the daily digest in my town. In those days a graphic novel was a mere 25cents and you could buy 12 books for $3.00 I think thats about the average price of one magazine these days. LOL Anyway.....I Thrived on reading Marvel & DC Comics by the time I was 13 I had well over 2,500 or more. and I kept mine in the protective plastic bags and boxed according to hero or the group that they were in*
I even learned how to draw from reading these things and wanting to emulate what I saw everyday. Boy Stan Lee really had a major Impact on my childhood! Dark Knight/Detective Comics & The X-Men were always my favorite comics. And like most "Wolverine & Batman" were my fav. characters. It wasnt until much, much later on in life that these Superheroes were made into major motion picture Idols.
With the rise of technology and special effects Hollywood has been able to produce what I read for so many years on the silver screen. I think if I had to choose being one of these Superheroes in "real life" it would Most Def. have to be

I think this is stunning architecture! The station was designed by the architect John McAslan + Partners, and the renovation of the station, which to their credit, was completed in 2005, was done on schedule.

I can’t think of many birds that make me think more of southeastern Arizona than the Bridled Titmouse. They are such cool little birds and I always manage to run into a few when I visit the area. This one grabbed my attention while searching for the Elegant Trogon and I couldn’t help but to stop and take a few photos. How can you say no to this cute little face?

Jesus came to bring spiritual LIFE to the spiritually dead and set the captives FREE! FREE from RELIGION, ERROR and outright LIES, so WE might serve THE LIVING GOD! In SPIRIT and in TRUTH!
So you'll KNOW, and not think you're to bad for God to love. The Christian LIFE isn't about how good WE are, because NONE of us are! It's about how GOOD JESUS IS! Because JESUS LOVES US, so much he died in our place and took the punishment for all of our sins on himself. The wages of sin is DEATH, and Jesus took the death WE so richly deserved for us and died in our place. The good news is, there's no more punishment for sin left. WE, you and I were all born forgive as a result of the crucifixion of God himself on the cross that took away the sins of the whole world. All we have to do is believe it, and put your Faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. That my friends is REAL UNCONDITIONAL LOVE! YOU ARE LOVED. ❤️ ✝️ ❤️

This is the culmination of well over a year’s worth of work: I think I started this project a little after the UCS Republic Gunship was released. So it feels good to finally have this finished and show it off!
I strived to make an accurate, studless version of the ship which incorporated some of the discoloured panels like the UCS version. I used the reference material collected from Star Wars Episode 2, 3 and Battlefront II.
Over the course of this project, a few outstanding Gunships emerged in the LEGO Star Wars community, which was both inspiring and slightly disheartening as they set the bar for MOCs of this vehicle incredibly high! Bousker made an excellent Clone Wars version and you may see some similarities between mine and Jhae's. Though we came to the solution of using the grated cheese slopes independently, his design helped inform some of the internal structure and the bed of the troop compartment.
I also looked to atlasr's version for inspiration, which while digital and at a slightly larger scale than I was aiming for, is perhaps the most accurate LEGO version I’ve ever seen.
Massive thanks to all the dudes for their inspiration, encouragement, feedback, and numerous ideas which I stole, you know who you are!

This striking Street art is part of a series of works exploring dealing with loss and grief and in this instance this two floor wall draws inspiration from Auguste Rodin’s iconic The Thinker statue which has also been known as The Mourner. This stunning work can be found on Herbert Road, Plumstead, South East London and was put up with support from Street Art Atlas.

WWI recruiting poster. The artist Harry Lawrence Oakley, 1882-1960 (signed bottom right) was a British silhouette artist. He designed posters for the British army while he was a captain with the 8th Battalion Yorkshire Regiment in WWI.
This poster appears in a photo that was taken in Waterford City on 5 January 1915. Wonder how many passers-by paused to consider joining up...
