You can spend your time alone. Redigesting past regrets....
This construction site is on the south side of Lake George. I don’t know what is being built so walking through it is the reverse of roaming through ruins and a pleasure that’s just as intense. It’s a present tense experience of abstract form in the state of becoming… electrical conduit snakes along a labyrinth-like route bordered by orange vinyl fence on one side and a cyclone fence on the other….the fences meander around 50-foot mounds of dirt,…at the site’s south end is an excavation with molds ready for concrete. As you move through this site, the failure of form to reveal its direction and purpose keeps you in the state of now, a state of wonder.
Back to the train yard with a bit of nostalgia for me. My father used to work for the Norfolk Southern line.
These guys shoved each other around a little but never came to blows. Then one of them spied some elk cows minding their own business (see upper left corner) and trotted off the bully them instead.
The kids had not really rehearsed until an hour before the show, and they'd decided, at the last minute, to say something before the record started. They were all supposed to say, "Hello, Baltimore!" And then Serena would say, "Are you ready to rock and roll?" And then Mackane would say, "There's only one rock and roll anthem, and that's 'Rock 'n' Roll All Nite and Party Every Day!"
But when they got out, all the kids looked at Serena, forgetting they were all supposed to start.

The situation becomes tense outside the combat outpost for 4th Company as a mortar attack hits the village, killing livestock. The locals demand compensation and the cadets attempt to prevent an escalation of force through negotiation. During the combat outpost exercise, companies of cadets were tasked with securing their area of operation from insurgent attacks while maintaining good relations with the local villagers. Missions ranged from negotiations with the village sheik, quick reaction team responses to attacks, medical evacuations and route clearing operations. The three-week Cadet Leadership Development Training for rising cows and firsties at West Point, N.Y., included marksmanship training, platoon attack engagements and urban operations to uncover high value targets (insurgent leaders) as the objective. He got distracted as they were leaving the grocery store and lost his mom. I watched as he stood there, tensing more and more with each passing second that he was alone. As I was about to put down the camera and lead him into the darkness where his mother was, I heard her call his name, and the tense little boy was immediately replaced with a jumping, hopping, and very relieved creature who ran into the night following the voice he loved so much.

We passed this great old VW on our way to somewhere or maybe on the way back. This is a genuine Oahu, Hawaii VW and was filmed in action there.
