Have a safe and healthy Monday!
Female Asiatic lion / Asiatischer Löwe (Panthera leo persica)
living in the wild in Gir National Park, Gujarat, India
This photo took a lot of patience, my first photo completely tweaked in Photoshop. Phew... Patience!!
✈️ : Missing Melody
One, two, one, two, three, four
Shed a tear 'cause I'm missin' you
I'm still alright to smile
Girl, I think about you every day now
Was a time when I wasn't sure
But you set my mind at ease
There is no doubt you're in my heart now
Said "woman take it slow, and it'll work itself out fine"
All we need is just a little patience
Said "sugar make it slow and we'll come together fine"
All we need is just a little patience (Patience)
Mm, yeah
I sit here on the stairs
'Cause I'd rather be alone
If I can't have you right now, I'll wait dear
Sometimes I get so tense but I can't speed up the time
But you know love there's one more thing to consider
Said "woman take it slow and things will be just fine"
You and I'll just use a little patience
Said "sugar take the time 'cause the lights are shining bright"
You and I've got what it takes to make it
We won't fake it, I'll never break it
'Cause I can't take it
Little patience, mm yeah, mm yeah
Need a little patience, yeah
Just a little patience, yeah
Some more patience, yeah (I've been walking the streets at night)
Just trying to get it right (A little patience, yeah)
It's hard to see with so many around
You know I don't like being stuck in the crowd (Could use some patience, yeah)
And the streets don't change but maybe the names
I ain't got time for the game 'cause I need you (Gotta have more patience, yeah)
Yeah, yeah, yeah but I need you (All need more patience)
Oh, I need you (All need some patience)
Oh, I need you (Just a little patience)
Ooh this time (Is all you need)
Ok so one more!! My friend Bruce Sorrell posted a scary "Halloween-ish" image so I was inspired to share this rather ghoulish image. It's a figure on top of a blower on a Hot Rod. I hope it's not too scary. It's my favorite of the two that I posted today. :-)
I went to Collieston to shoot a sunrise over the pier... but the sun and colour was too far to the West than I'd thought it would be but I ended up being much more drawn to this long sea cave where the water comes rushing through.
I called it tense as shooting it was quite tense. You want to get close in to get the best effect... but at the same time you are wary how the sea will come flushing through the cave. Every 5 mins or so you can get a cycle of much higher waves on the incoming and outgoing tides. Its something all seascape photographers should know and be wary off. The rocks you are standing on are fairly large angular and slippy so you cant escape at pace so you need to watch you don't get too close and get swamped.

Nature’s Wonder - Grasstree (Xanthorrhoea Preissii) is endemic to Australia. It has very long and bunched, grass-like, leaves fanning out from the crown resembling visualisation of a tensor field.

When threatened or harmed, they will "play possum", mimicking the appearance and smell of a sick or dead animal. The physiological response is involuntary, rather than a conscious act.

Tense relationship between this heron and this boat. The heron is sulking while the boat asks him to leave him alone "Fish moi la paix (in french)". There will probably be no fish sharing tonight!
Relation tendue entre ce héron et ce bateau. Le héron fait la tête tandis que le bateau lui demander de lui "Fish la paix". Il n'y aura probablement pas d'échange de poisson ce soir !
Gràcies per les vostres visites i comentaris.

Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia diversifolia) one of the prettiest flowers right after the frost. Their color seems to be intensified for those first few days... before they fade and drop to become part of the life cycle once again.

This dance
This dance
Is like a weapon
Is like a weapon
Of self defense
Of self defense
Against the present
Against the present
Present tense
I won't get heavy
Don't get heavy
Keep it light and
Keep it moving
I am doing
No harm
As my world
Comes crashing down
I'm dancing
Freaking out
Deaf, dumb, and blind
In you I'm lost
In you I'm lost
I won't turn around
When the penny drops
I won't stop now
Won't slack off
Or all this love
Will be in vain
To stop from falling
Down a mine
It's no one's business but mine
Where all this love
Has be in vain
In you I'm lost
In you I'm lost
In you I'm lost
In you I'm lost
This large heron was perched on a pier support post behind the beautiful Fisherman's Village in Punta Gorda, Florida over the Christmas holiday. A dramatic sunset was taking place over the harbor and so I slowly worked my way around to be in a position to capture the heron's silhouette against the backdrop of light and color. Meanwhile, the bird kept a wary eye on me... ready to fly at any moment. In this shot, it is crowching before springing into flight. It landed upon the roof of the mall.
In processing this image, I used Photoshop's Dehaze tool to further define the clouds.

The past is a gentle ripple, spreading out across time, its origins fading but its echoes still felt. Each moment left behind is like a soft light glimmering on the surface of memory—both present and distant, beautiful yet untouchable. These reflections of "what was" remind us that the past is not a place we can revisit, but a story we carry within us, shaping our paths forward.
In the stillness of the present, there is an opportunity to pause. The lessons of yesterday rest quietly beneath the surface, offering their wisdom if we dare to look. The present becomes a mirror, where the line between remembrance and reality blurs, and we see fragments of who we were in who we are.
"Past Tense, Present Reflection" invites us to reconcile those ripples and rays of memory with the now—to honor the echoes without being pulled under by their current. It is a call to embrace the stillness, to watch the interplay of light and shadow within ourselves, and to find peace in the seamless union of then and now. For in that unity lies the serenity of understanding who we’ve been and who we’re becoming.
