having never blocked a "lace" piece before, it was hard .. still don't know if i did it "right" but hey, it's done and maybe i can wear it to the birthday party this weekend.

This shot entitled Past Tense Awakened is my first kick at the Arty Picture can and although it borders on cheesy, it\'s my favorite out of the first batch.
The subject of this piece is a, very androgynous looking Thai Buddha made out of (believe it or not) fiberglass. I picked it up last summer in Wakefield, Québec, in a little knickknacks shop for $75.
I basically took a close-up using a high ISO setting, with a zoom and then did some heavy enhancing in Adobe Elements. Considering I know next to nothing about photography, I\'m happy that I managed to take a piece of fiberglass and turn it into something that looks a hundred years old, not to mention dignified.
