Ok so one more!! My friend Bruce Sorrell posted a scary "Halloween-ish" image so I was inspired to share this rather ghoulish image. It's a figure on top of a blower on a Hot Rod. I hope it's not too scary. It's my favorite of the two that I posted today. :-)
Just down the road from my house. Not really meadows, they are hay fields, cut and quiet now, save for the wooing flights of woodcock, and the tall, tense deer bounding away into sunsets.

Today I decided to take Sir Elton with me to visit my friend's house.
It was very exciting and super fun. Everyone who saw him walking down the street thought he was cute and charming. Needless to say, I felt like a peacock.
Suddenly our walk becomes tense because he saw the ice cream parlor.
And didn't want to take another step. Sir Elton is a bit of a spoiled brat. When he wants something, he's bossy and usually gets it. But this time, he didn't make it.
He started rubbing his paw against me and drooling all over my new shoes.
Can you imagine how the rest of the trip to my friend's house went?

Nature’s Wonder - Grasstree (Xanthorrhoea Preissii) is endemic to Australia. It has very long and bunched, grass-like, leaves fanning out from the crown resembling visualisation of a tensor field.

Tensing Norgay, né en mai 1914 à Tengboche, Khumbu au nord-est du Népal et mort le 9 mai 1986 à Darjeeling, est un sherpa népalais d'origine tibétaine.
En 1953, il prend part à l'expédition de John Hunt, sa septième expédition à l'Everest, dans laquelle lui et Edmund Hillary deviennent les premiers hommes à atteindre le sommet.
A Darjeeling, en 1978, il fonde la compagnie Tensing Norgay Adventures, qui propose des treks dans l'Himalaya.
Rencontré ici au Sikkim lors d'un treck en novembre 1978.

When threatened or harmed, they will "play possum", mimicking the appearance and smell of a sick or dead animal. The physiological response is involuntary, rather than a conscious act.

If there's one thing he enjoys the most it's having a thing about gates! .. or how he's got make sure he's on the other side of it by the time you reach it. Even if I theres one out of sight he notices the walls and fences converging or running perpendicular to our approach.. and suddenly he's gone off round the corner to get over it first so he can peer through the slats. The trick is having the third eye .. knowing exactly what hes thinking and catching him as he tenses for the off ... depending on the type of gate/wall/fence I'll either let him or stop him .. I call it the 'art of attunement' .. I do the same with Auntie Elk .. but for different purposes!
Tense relationship between this heron and this boat. The heron is sulking while the boat asks him to leave him alone "Fish moi la paix (in french)". There will probably be no fish sharing tonight!

Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia diversifolia) one of the prettiest flowers right after the frost. Their color seems to be intensified for those first few days... before they fade and drop to become part of the life cycle once again.
I'm very tired today, this week at work will be a mad one. Or maybe it's because I was so tensed lately due to the elections (no, I don't belong to any political party).
The weather report is that will be sunny on Wednesday, can't wait, I miss the sun so much.

I'm happy to live the day when my nation found the collective consciousness and our President, Mr. Klaus Iohannis, a very balanced man, a protestant in an Orthodox country, a taciturn in a world of scandal, declared "I receive this victory with modesty" ("modesty" was an almost forgotten word for years here).
The future looks a bit brighter.

You might think; "that's a big boat in a small waterway"...however this is a normal view here. (it gets a bit tense if you meet one in your smaller boat...)
