August 6, 2008 | Walking around DC with Tyler and his Grandma. We were near the Lincoln memorial heading past the renovation area when I happened to look up at the clouds. The close vicinity of the Reagan National Airport provided made it quite likely for a plane to fly by. I think it would be cool if someone on the plane took a photo of this from up there and/or if they snapped a shot of the mall at or around the same time.

WORK STATEMENT
My background in psychology heavily informs my photographic work. I work with portraiture and always find that making a portrait with someone is a psychologically intricate experience. I photograph family, friends, strangers, and sometimes strangers who become friends through this collaborative process. The nuances of gesture, the insecurity that appears when the lens focuses, and the conversations that ensue are always unique in every shoot. Human interaction is a fluid process and one that is endlessly intriguing. Having the opportunity to make a portrait of someone, to have that sitter share their time and their likeness with me, is a privilege. It can be uncomfortable, tense, hilarious or exciting. Whatever the mood is, it is always a surprise. And it in this lack of predictability that I make my best images.
OK, I know I'm a bit slow in posting this wish, but I didn't get this image untill yesterday morning and only just processed it today. The sentiment remains the same...Happy Father's Day!! For most of the fathers in this world children are a blessing. In the animal kingdom, offspring are merely a bother. Here the father actually takes time from his busy schedule and gives his offspring a moment, albeit tense for the youngster. Best viewed large. All rights reserved.

Vedi come si flette quell’albero? Ti ispira?
Sporgendosi per cogliere i raggi del sole…una lezione da applicare…
Stai apprendendo qualcosa da questo viaggio circondante?
Puoi passare il tuo tempo da solo, a ridigerire i rimpianti passati, oh…
Oppure puoi accettarlo e realizzare

Oppure puoi accettarlo e realizzare
