2,400 pieces of Olive Soap made near Jerusalem. The map shows the territories that were supposed to be handed back to the Palestinian Authority following the Oslo Peace Agreement in 1993.
Given recent events in Gaza, this work suddenly becomes even more powerful than it was when the Biennial started.
August 6, 2008 | Walking around DC with Tyler and his Grandma. We were near the Lincoln memorial heading past the renovation area when I happened to look up at the clouds. The close vicinity of the Reagan National Airport provided made it quite likely for a plane to fly by. I think it would be cool if someone on the plane took a photo of this from up there and/or if they snapped a shot of the mall at or around the same time.

Tense spectators line the east side of Gorsey Lane, home to Rylands FC. Captured during a 2-0 third round defeat by Avro in the North West Counties League's First Division Cup. With Rylands second in Division One South and Avro third in Division One North, this was the tie of the last 16. The Oldham-based visitors secured victory with two first half goals, though Rylands squandered four good chances after the break.

Rylands Recreation Club FC were formed in 1911 as the works team of a wire manufacturer. Initially, they played in the Liverpool County Combination before switching to the Warrington & District League. Rylands won successive championships between 1955 and 1959. In 1958, they added the Liverpool Junior Cup and the Warrington Guardian Cup. Seeking a better standard of football, Rylands joined the Mid-Cheshire League in 1969. They had to wait until 1979 to secure their first trophy, the League Cup, then topped the table in 1981 and 1984. A long barren spell, enlivened only by reaching the League Cup Final (2000) and finishing league runners-up (2002), ended in 2008 with Rylands merging with Crosfields FC to form Crosfields/Rylands FC. In 2012, the name Rylands FC was resurrected and former Rylands player Paul Stretford, the agent of international striker Wayne Rooney, invested heavily in the club. Rylands lifted the Warrington Guardian Cup in 2015 and were Mid-Cheshire League runners-up in 2013, 2014 and 2018. An U21 team was set up in 2015 before Rylands merged with junior club Fife Rangers, swelling impressively the number of youth players under the Rylands FC banner. For the 2018-19 season, Rylands were admitted to the North West Counties League's First Division South and are now playing at step six for the first time in their history.
