Hmm, not sure he's a KFC customer. And where have all the seagulls gone, normally they are everywhere in Blackpool...Have KFC run out of chicken again?

The colourful small balloons fixed on a square shaped board are targets for Air Rifle shooting. One can exhibit his or her shooting skill at a very low price. These small mobile facilities can be seen in parks and public places on special occasions and festivals. Little kids are the main participants on the shooting spree although older people are no less enthusiastic.

This is Daphne mezereum (#Tysbast), I see this plant all over my place now, it is very very poisonous - all of it 😖 and it looks quite a lot like other berries we use, like rowanberries.

In spring it comes with gorgeous purple flowers on the bare stem, before the leaves appear.

A couple of berries can be fatal for kids and if you take a bite of the stem you can suffer severely problems in swallowing, so beware of this plant😐

My remote shutter release died on me while shooting this. Time to buy 2 this time for safety measures.

After the ritual exchange of gifts on Dec 25th, the bright sunshine on the snow tempted us out for a walk to the prehistoric hillfort near Oxton.

Looking around at the lovely views, I was almost too preoccupied to notice this surreal dreamscape beneath my feet as I was walking across a large frozen puddle in the path! A little clearing of the powdery snow with my glove revealed ... well, what do you see?

It's almost the last day to join my Heart ATC swap!

For once, I’ve built the chassis a tad higher than I’m normally tempted to do because I wanted those front mudguards sitting properly under the headlights, not spread around them. It helps a lot that this thing is rather a caricature than anything else and in the end, I dig how it feels like sitting perky on suspensions. After a little getting used to, not even the stack of plates under those new wedges doesn't bother me all that much, though I would have preferred the option of a corresponding brick there.

While editing the shots, “The last Samurai” was streaming along and there was that quote: "I belong to the warrior in whom the old ways have joined the new." 😏

With gale force winds, waves crashing five stories high and roiling seas, this photographer braves it all to shoot Thor's Well at Cape Perpetua. Even from my high vantage point, I was catching ocean mist. I cannot imagine this guy shooting in these conditions. I've already trashed one camera at this place last year, wasn't going to tempt fate on a day like this again. Thor's Well, Cape Perpetua National Monument. Yachats, Oregon USA
