I met Chlo a few weeks ago; she was working as a hostess at a restaurant we did a shoot at. She kept watching us so I invited her to snap a few shots with me and she did. We kept in touch and she joined us at a small group shoot at the house. My camera loves her - Chlo is a nice mix of gorgeous, sweet, sassy, fun, and adventurous. This was a great shoot and hopefully the first of many. Another note - Chlo hangs out with some extremely beautiful young woman - she promised to bring them to the shoots too. Life is very good!

This squirrel was SO cute, even I might have been tempted to give it some peanuts - if I had been carrying some. Unfortunately it went away empty handed! Seen in the Los Angeles County Arboretum.
Great Blue Heron Keeps Eye On Great Family In Blue Kayaks On Blue Afternoon - IMRAN™
This great blue heron has literally been sitting at this spot for 4 hours. I had taken a couple of photos of it through the glass windows earlier. I did not want to risk sliding open the doors in case he flew away. About 2 hours after I first saw him, he was still there. I was about to get on a conference call at 1 PM, tempting as it would be to sit on the dock on the bay on a gorgeous Monday afternoon on Tampa Bay. Just then I caught a glimpse of my wonderful neighbors, father and two of his lovely kids, and super fun & totally fearless dog Riley going past my home. I knew I was cutting it close for my conference call but I managed to take this photo at 12:57 PM before rushing to the home office to get on the phone. I managed to get the bird, dog, dock, kayaks (theirs and mine), kids, and their dad, all in one click. The right side of the photo looks different because the bright white curtains inside were reflecting in the window, giving this halo effect.

As I walked through the Los Angeles County Arboretum I came across this beautiful grouping of Mandarin Oranges ! I was sorely tempted - they looked gorgeous lying there unprotected in the sun !! But I resisted and left them for others - and there may be many takers ! Sadly, there are now new signs in the Rose Garden indicating that it is under "video surveillance" - I guess even rose cuttings are viewed as "for the taking" by some visitors !

Everything's better with bacon! This tempting favorite is loaded with lots of chopped hickory-smoked bacon, Jack & Cheddar cheese & a White Cheddar Sauce. Topped with tomatoes and even more bacon.
The colourful small balloons fixed on a square shaped board are targets for Air Rifle shooting. One can exhibit his or her shooting skill at a very low price. These small mobile facilities can be seen in parks and public places on special occasions and festivals. Little kids are the main participants on the shooting spree although older people are no less enthusiastic.
I found this tatty wet toy whilst on a dog walk in the Forest of Dean. It looked so sweet I was tempted to rescue it but took a couple of photos instead.
This is Daphne mezereum (#Tysbast), I see this plant all over my place now, it is very very poisonous - all of it 😖 and it looks quite a lot like other berries we use, like rowanberries.
In spring it comes with gorgeous purple flowers on the bare stem, before the leaves appear.
A couple of berries can be fatal for kids and if you take a bite of the stem you can suffer severely problems in swallowing, so beware of this plant😐
My remote shutter release died on me while shooting this. Time to buy 2 this time for safety measures.
