Tempted, all is vacant
I've been down before
I need replacement
Who knows just where the end is
Who cares what you're defending
I can't see
What you want from me
I can't be, no
What you want me to be
Angel...
Decending, she's never faking
You can see her eyes
There's no mistaking
She knows where the end is
She says just stop pretending
I can't see
What you want from me
I can't be, no
What you want me to be, no
Angel of mine
Angel...
But she said
I'm not bothered
And you're the same
Well I'm done with love
And you're to blame
Sit down
Why don't you listen
Have an open heart
Whoa to our position

Something a bit different. The lighting on the boat and the trees is from a "street" lamp (obscured by the foliage). It looks HDR'd but actually, no. It looks unnatural but I think it works somehow.
Fort Washakie horses in the rain. So many with no shelter and no discernible food source or drinking water. :-( I'm often tempted to knock on doors, but you never know what reception you may get. Someone could answer the door with a shotgun!
A young peregrine falcon was perching at the top of a tree. A jackdaw decided to perch next to it. Within seconds the falcon launched an attack. The jackdaw had a narrow escape!

Pre COVID I often visited the woods at Morgaston and then wandered into the house grounds of The Vyne NT property - I am a member- and wandered round the lake to the cafe for lunch before returning. These days of course all walks have to stop at the gate to this very tempting path unless you have booked a space. I am looking forward to a time when there is less danger of infection and when we do not have to plan everything in advance!
From a recent walk. Tempted to desaturate these vibrant leaves, but loses the autumn feel. Cloudy with intermittent sun. Love this path. Yes, it does lean left—the lake bank is to the right. Should I straighten it?

Thank you for your comments. I enjoy going back in time to reread what you've written.
And thanks to the Flickr people for this site and the encouragement it offers. I hope you keep your jobs in Flickr and Yahoo's time of uncertainty. Been there. No fun!
This week has been colder and the instinct to stay inside a warm cafe with a warm cup pf tea is inevitable. The taste was strawberry, reminding me of Summer ....
Wish you all a beautiful Sunday .
Tasmania is brimming with so many places of natural beauty. This little gem is Dove Lake, which I have been lucky enough to visit twice now. I asked Chat GPT to tell me about it and here is what it said:
Dove Lake Walk, located in the stunning Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park in Tasmania, is considered one of Australia's most beautiful nature walks. It offers a 6-kilometer, 2–3-hour circuit around the glacially carved Dove Lake, nestled directly beneath the towering Cradle Mountain.
The walk takes hikers on a journey through diverse landscapes. As you navigate the undulating path, the walk offers both intimate and epic views of Cradle Mountain and immerses you in the surrounding vegetation. The track undulates around Dove Lake, traverses beneath the mountain, then returns through magnificent rainforest taking you through some of Tasmania's special vegetation, from buttongrass to myrtle, sassafras, fagus and King Billy pine.
Sound tempting? I must correct the narrative though, taking a camera with you extends the time from 2-3 hours to "how long am I allowed to spend taking photos before my companions leave without me"
Jasper tempts me with his OddBall knowing he can get to it much faster than me. The old Oddball is bleeding a bit in this shot, but has since been stitched up. Still, there may be a new Oddball in the offer this Christmas. This one lasted 1 1/2 years so far which is pretty good considering it gets hard play every day.
