I got to ride it to work yesterday due to the great weather we have had the last couple of days. It felt great. I understand a bit more how great a bike can feel when custom fit for you.
Another behind the scenes look at some diy. This was my first attempt at making Mom Barbie temporary mules. I was using foam sheets. I didn't like how they turned out so I remade the shoes with a foam bottom and felt top. They can be seen in the finished photos.
A parking enforcement car parked smack in the middle of the 15th Street cycle track. A police car was parked next to it; the officer was talking to the guy in the black vehicle (a Jeep?). I think there might have been another squad car parked in front of the black vehicle. Washington, DC.
Because repair parts for the power window won't be in until Monday...
I used shrink plastic sold to seal windows in the winter, so it's
crystal clear from inside.

I temporarily mounted a 1x4 at the top of the window to support the tiles above it. It also made it very easy to align the bottom row of tiles with the edge of the window.

We have accumulated several muebles (cabinets) for the kitchen that we've used in our various rental houses. We are using them in our new kitchen until our things in OR are shipped to CR, and I will build new cabinets for the kitchen.

We watched this sweet little baby bluebird as he fledged from the nest, and he landed right at our deck doorway. He actually flew inside the house, as we had the door open, and looked up at us! We had to carefully carry him outside and mom and dad saw him, and whisked him away. What a sweetie.
We actually had to put this dishtowel around him, and place the little guy into this birdcage with the towel wrapped around him to keep him calm, until we saw the parents, and then we gently let him loose so he'd be safe. What a cute little guy.
This is a temporary sticker ahead of the Evergreen Line Extension of the Millennium Line opening, as seen at Burrard Station.

Part of the 250th Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts
In 2018, Grayson Perry RA and his committee of fellow artists handpicked over 1,300 artworks in an array of mediums.
The Summer Exhibition included a monumental sculpture by Anish Kapoor RA in the RA courtyard, while vast new works by David Hockney RA and Joana Vasconcelos appeared in the galleries. Artists Mona Hatoum and Tal R showed alongside Royal Academicians including Wolfgang Tillmans, Mike Nelson, Tracey Emin and Rose Wylie, and Honorary Academicians Bruce Nauman and Ed Ruscha.

Construction of an elevated roadway for the new Bay Bridge that will be used temporarily to connect Yerba Buena Island with the eastbound span of the old Bay Bridge (while a permanent connector to the new easbound bridge is built).
