As it was quite dark when we arrived in Mountain Lagoon, and I didn't have a tripod with me, I am surprised that most of my shots turned out sharp, albeit grainy. The light camera and lens combination is proving quite valuable shooting at low light levels.
It looks like the 35 f2 lens has some vignetting wide open. Need to investigate further.

We dont get many large ships in the harbour basin these days. They mostly call at Port Chalmers. A bulk carrier like this is probably loading something that is easily transported by truck like scrap metal from a nearby collection centre. Editing done in picnik
Vehicles wait for the temporary traffic light to turn green on SR 161 in Graham. Construction crews widened SR 161 north of 280th Street East to make room for a single-lane bypass road. The bypass road helps keep traffic moving through the summer and fall while workers build the new box culvert.

Although I've seen many ice sculptures, I've never watched the artists methodically perfect their masterpiece in the waning moments of a competition. We watched one artist calmly recreate a piece of his sculpture moments before time was called after an icicle fell from the building and destroyed part of his design. Wow, he personified grace under pressure!

The AT power supply is required as the power supply in the SFF PC doesn't have enough grunt and the two black drives are running from a two channel PATA PCI card.

Amy was a temporary resident of the oakville humane society in oakville, ontario, canada.
Amy came to the shelter in July when her owners were no longer able to care for her due to allergies and moving. She is a very sweet girl who will do well in a home with a dog.
It is important to note that the salivary gland duct on Amy's cheek is open to outside so saliva will leak out. This does not bother her, but can look a little messy and drips when she eats... or sometimes when she is thinking about food!

Taken yesterday morning outside the "country hotel", at least nature tried to jazz things up a bit. Sad then that I was in a classroom until dusk, so this was the only chance to walk through drifts of freshly fallen leaves.
