Trying on the fur hat at Christmas. My left eye is always more closed than my right. I am starting to notice it more than I used to. Ah well, scars of age.
Whitened my teeth, Warming filter (85), added a glamour glow and removed some blemishes. Digitally it's much easier to clean yourself up...

This particular piece was inspired by the infamous incident between John and Lorena Bobbit.
In the scramble to get the station ready for its first day of opening, this informative row of pictures about the station is a temporary barrier line to hem in the lounge from the open area.
Not all things in life are permanent. Change is the only thing which is constant and which adds spice to life!
(My obsession with shadows is continuing for some unknown reason, but is certainly temporary!)

this lovely pencil roll was made for me by julief .. my journalling friend .. in a journal swap.. i love it .. because it is beautiful with so many different fabrics and enough space for my pencils and paint brushes.. and great to take travelling.. it will definately come to europe with me at christmas.....yeah!
The pigs have been temporarily moved into the area next to our bee hives because they are ill and have to be kept away from the other animals - also they are creating huge amounts of panic due to the whole swine flu business. I also have a theory that the government are conducting experiments trying to crossbreed pigs and bees to create a super honey to cure mexico (at an extorniate cost, of course)
I love the fact that the blossoms are only in bloom for about two weeks at my house. It makes you appreciate the beauty even more.

This big sweet lug was found greeting customers at CVS/pharmacy where I work on Christmas Eve. I called the shelter and asked them to hold him for the required 72hrs in case his family was looking for him. Well, no one called...so the shelter told me his time was up. So, now he's here and I just may have an American Pit Bull Terrier dog rescue to take him. They specialize in placement of these bully breed dogs and are much better suited to the task than I. In the mean time, he's getting along great with all of our dogs (YAY!), he's awesome with people of all ages, and is just generally a well-behaved guy.
We're taking name ideas for him!!!
I soldered everything together on a piece of cardboard. It holds together well, but not very easy to change parts.

Necessity is the mother of invention - a couple 2x4's held in place with clamps and you have an instant baby gate. Worked like a charm to keep the little one from tumbling down the deck steps.

Temporary gallows were erected on several occasions at Cheapside between the 14th and 17th centuries. They were in place for over 100 days in 1554 following the execution of two rebels involved in a Protestant uprising against Mary I. On 8 May a dead cat, dressed as a priest with a shaven monk's head, was found strung up on the scaffold as an act of Protestant defiance.*

Exploring how public executions shaped Londoners’ lives and the city’s landscape in a major exhibition.
Public executions were a major part of Londoners’ lives for centuries.
From Smithfield to Southwark, from Banqueting House to Newgate Prison, executions became embedded in London’s landscape from the 12th century right through to the 19th. Even today, hints of this uncomfortable past can still be seen across the capital.
The Museum of London Docklands brought the rarely told and often tragic human stories behind these events to a new exhibition. Executions showcased a range of fascinating objects, paintings and projections, including the vest said to have been worn by King Charles I when he was executed, a recreation of the Tyburn gallows with an immersive projection, last letters of the condemned, and much more. Many of the items on display had rarely been seen in public.
