A few weeks ago I bought a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 lens (also marketed as Samyang, Bowers and ProOptics) for my Nikon D800E to take ultra wide angle photos. After testing the lens a few times I decided to return it back to the seller. The sample of the lens I received was very blurry at the edges and corners. However, after reading many positive reviews of this lens in which some photographers reported having to exchange their first samples of the lens for another one before they were actually happy with it, I also decided to try another sample of the lens. The new sample, which arrived just before Thanksgiving, is much sharper than the first one. I am actually quite pleased with the image quality, sharpness and color rendition of this lens. I'm glad I decided to try this lens again. This one is a keeper ;-)

I spent some time in Southern Arizona visiting family for a few days. I didn't have too much time to shoot, but did manage to get a nice sunset in Tucson at Gates Pass, right next to Saguaro NP.
