Flamingos are a type of wading bird in the genus Phoenicopterus (from Greek φοινικόπτερος meaning "purple wing"), the only genus in the family Phoenicopteridae. There are four flamingo species in the Americas and two species in the Old World.
Meaning from french Latin: "to look at, to wonder at" ..mirage is a real optical phenomenon in which light rays are bent to produce a displaced image or Fata morgana
In Africa i have consistently seen the most beautiful sunsets ever. The picture cannot capture the magic but still tried.

It's been a heck of a long time since I posted anything, but it was a beautiful evening, the sun was setting and I thought I'd grab my camera and take a photo or two of something nobody has ever taken before ;)

As the sun set over the hay bales in a field over near Crewkerne, the storms passed overhead.
A few minutes earliuer I was getting soaked, so ran back to the car for a few minutes. Then, the sun came out. An amazing show of different weather within a few minutes.
The rainbow was a real bonus.

This is a HDR picture of the sunset on 7/26/11.
When it was 2 hours befor sunset it looked like the sunset was going to be boring due to alot of cloud cover at the horizon but it cleared up and the sunset was great.
