The recipe is from an old issue of Cook's Illustrated. It's stuffed with onions, potatoes, tomatoes, garlic, basil, and a little Monterey jack cheese.

This example of taxidermy is inside a highly reflective plexiglass case, so I used two flashes pressed against the case, one camera left, and one up and camera right. I don't recollect the exact settings.

red and yellow peppers stuffed with rice mixture. rice mix = white + brown rice with nuts (almonds, walnuts, dates, pistachio), stir-fried with mushrooms, sweet onions and crispy bacon bits.
So, our daughter Anna-O (aka AnnaBird) comes home for a medical emergency that turns out to be OK. In some of the waiting time she discloses that she has visited an Internet site devoted to photos of folks piling objects on their cats.
I have to rise to a challenge. And we had to deflect attention from the family medical issue.
So we piled stuff on our family cat. We piled at least ten more things on my cat after this shot before he woke up.
Sue me.
It was fun.
The goofy object on the left is a platelet or some such stuffed figure that the local blood bank gave daughter Anna-O for donating her first pint of life giving blood.
