Roasted eggplant stuffed with fresh mozzarella and vegetarian Italian sausage, with orecchiette with broccoli rabe, black olives, tomatoes and grated parmigiano-reggiano.

Girl Slice made this. Had it for lunch today. Mmmm.

there was a different spice in there. can't quite pick it out.

I could eat these things like apples! Explosion of flavors!

Rub some minced garlic and oregano inside

Chop up some cucumbers, Mozzarella cheese, and add parmesan for filler.

Pack the filler in the hollow'd out tomato

pour some balsamic dressing (or italian if you prefer) in the top, just enough to add some taste.

Fridge for the night and these make an awesome AND filling snack

In Ouwehands zoo they have this stuffed animal exhibition; scary!

I copied this from a drawing by Andrea Blanco & Alvarex

It was titled as a rat but for me it looks more like a mouse. ;)

Crossrail/MOLA Stepney City Farm dig

Turns out there was a stuffed bear dressed as a beefeater which the tourists love posing with.

When I read about the Tower of London I had it pictured as One Tower. It's not. The Tower of London is a historic castle on the north bank of the River Thames in central London, England. It lies within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, separated from the eastern edge of the City of London by the open space known as Tower Hill. It was founded towards the end of 1066 as part of the Norman Conquest of England.

The White Tower, which gives the entire castle its name, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078, and was a resented symbol of oppression, inflicted upon London by the new ruling elite. The castle was used as a prison since at least 1100, although that was not its primary purpose. A grand palace early in its history, it served as a royal residence.

As a whole, the Tower is a complex of several buildings set within two concentric rings of defensive walls and a moat. There were several phases of expansion, mainly under Kings Richard the Lionheart, Henry III, and Edward I in the 12th and 13th centuries. The general layout established by the late 13th century remains despite later activity on the site.

Why don't they just leave them up all year, since the PC Police tell us we can't say Christmas anymore. What's the point.

It looks like Prancer didn't make it back to the North Pole.

Actually I think this is an Elk, not a reindeer.

One of our salesmen is an avid hunter.

Personally I am not a hunter but whatever makes you happy, go for it.

Why he got this animal stuffed and brought it to work to hang in his office I have no idea.

Could be his wife is not a big fan of having dead animals hanging on the wall at home.

Lucky for him the owner doesn't care.

Do you notice how he is looking at you. Why did you shoot me??

Caught in the act!

make one using Hilary Lang's pattern!

A stuffed-animal toy on top of a large snow hill. I took several photos and this is my favorite pose. Same as the last one, but a different view gives it a different mood.

My job was to stuff thse elongated red, sweet peppers. I reasoned that the best way to do that would be with an iced-tea spoon, spooning the stuffing onto/into the orifice. The trick, of course, is to use the big end of a chop-stick to get all that stuff down into the bottom. You sort of have to be rough with it, short of injuring the outside of the pepper. Before they went into the oven, I set them up so that the stuffing could sort of sink downward.

Stuffed with roasted pepper & feta cheese, served with Israeli couscous.

Tomatoes stuffed with meat, green peppers and cheese and baked in the oven.

This was the legendary stuffed tomato I had at Mountain Winery; it was a large orange tomato stuffed with Roma tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil. And drizzled with pepper, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. WOW.

AKA the meal i wanted to be better than it really was.

i think my love of authentic Lebanese food spoiled me for the flavors of this - they were weak and just off. pinenuts and allpsice do not make it Lebanese. oh well, shame on me for falling for it and / or not knowing how to tweak it more authentic. but Deb at Smitten Kitchen makes anything look delicious and maybe that sweet baby distracted me.

so a lot of work for a lot of food that i just wasn't nutty about eating. i did have a red bell pepper in need of cooking so i stuffed it along with the eggplant and it was actually my favorite of the two. overall the dish was too heavy and oily and we even made it meat-less!
