Model: Irakli
Phtographer: Mario Stalinski
My good friend Irakli asked me to do some shots while he's "fighting". Here are the results.
Setup:
1x 300 Ws studio flash with Beatuy Dish (70cm) from the right, very high, appr. 1/8 power
1x Striplight with YN 560 II attached. 1/8 power. Left behind him. Grid attached to reduce spill of light onto the backdrop
Post:
Some work in Lightroom (coloring, red/blue, clarity, saturation and dynamic)
Model lit by Godox AD200 @ 1/32 power in a 80cm Softbox on camera left. Second light, Godox TT600 as a hair light on camera right behind the model. Background lit with 2 striplights on CR and CL with two Yongnou speedlights @ 1/16.
Another shot I entered at a challenge over at www.dpchallenge.com, the theme was "X marks the spot". When this challenge came along I thought it was a good opportunity to see if I could do something cool again in that theme that I started two years ago, called "Symbols" and I like this shot.
The model is Valdís and the bodypaint/makeup is by Eva Hrönn. Lit with 3 lights and a silver reflector, two striplight softboxes behind her on both sides and one medium sized softbox over my head, the silver reflector was between us, pointed upwards.
Another portrait of my good friend Marc...
One Jinbei in a Cheetah Ricebowl from left and above, a striplight from right and behind Marc.
Women do not like runs in their stockings, do they?
And yes, he has found his web here ...
Lighting: Striplight from the left. Spot on the spider from left behind the model.

Fun and relaxed, two differend sets, one with Bounce wall from California Sunbounce from below before a dark background, one against a white wall with single Striplight and Studio flasch
Playing around with a differet lighting setup. Going for something a little more dramatic. This is my mom and I think the first portrait I have posted of her. She has had a hard life and is an amazing woman. There isn't too many people who could have done what she has done. I'm still fine tuning this style. I used jessica drossin's new textures, which was just released so go check em out,
Strobist: 2 sb-800 in 4ft stripboxes right and left. Shot between the two @ f2.8. Triggered by pocketwizrds.

I have had this tattoo idea in my head for about a year now and finally got to finish this photoshoot, think I am done with bodypaint shots for a good while, moving on to something new, still have to post some Superhero shots I have taken but not processed though. Eva hrönn did the makeup/bodypaint and designed the tattoo, took her about 2 hours, she´s both good and fast! I really like the outcome, we wanted a blend of tribal and henna.
Lighting was 4 lights, two positioned in the frame (had to clone out the stands), one over her shoulder behind her hair and another one slightly lower than the arms, on the left. Then two striplight softboxes on both sides of her.
This is a "frozen" frame and she was slamming like a professional headbanger in this shot, hence the motion of the hair. This was the very last frame taken in the 4 hour long photoshoot, sometimes it pays off to spend another 5 minutes or so even though you think you are done.
Strobist: B800 into Large Softbox in Front, 2 B800s into 50" Striplights from Behind, Silver Reflector on Floor. See Comment Section for setup shot.
If you FAVE HER = COMMENT HER :)

'enjoy my amazing little world'

Since a very long time, I tried a macro picture again.
This is a special technique, I used to get a closer look with my ordinary macro lens. I used a 50mm lens reversed infront of the 100mm macro lens.
For the light I used a 90cm striplight with a Jinbej flash from left and above it. On the right side was a Yongnuo flash. All triggered via YN-622C.

my second try, i needed to try it out on a black car.
shot with a d90
and a sigma 10-20 @ 10mm
headlights, grille och tires are nuked with a vivitar 285 @ 1/2
i kind of like the distorsion on this one, think it adds to the agressiveness of the car. hence the 10mm shot.

Flash striplight with grid from above her, from the left, flash in beautydish (without grid) from the right background.
Continuous light for the blurry parts, from left and right (cheap construction site lamps, 2x 1000 W).
EXIF
5d3 on tripod, f/22, 1.8 seconds, in Bulb mode ISO 250, 24-70 on 27 mm.
DETAILS
We triggered the cam on bulb mode and the flashes by hand, via a hand-hold RF trigger RF-602. To prevent light spill from the continuous lights we used large cardboard as flags to block the light.

I experimented a little more tonight with my DIY strip lights. This time the background is a double-paned glass door which created two reflections of each light.
