Für diese Aufnahme habe ich einen Studioblitz mit einem 90 cm Striplight von rechts verwendet. Für die Effektbeleuchtung des Hintergrunds wurde ein Systemblitz mit Wabenaufsatz und grünem Gel-Filter eingesetzt.
For this shot I used a studio flash with a 90 cm striplight from the right. For the effect lighting of the background I used a system flash with honeycomb attachment and green gel-filter.

Taken at a recent Lencarta studio flash workshop in Maidstone, this is Amber Foston , www.modelmayhem.com/1801965. Event was very slick, run by Jonathan Ryan and sponsored by Lencarta. Best Western - Russell hotel have a huge event room where different lighting scenarios could be set up, various softboxes and strip lights, backdrops etc.
Shorty strikes his best captain-of-industry pose.
AB 800 overhead on boom fired into reflective umbrella. 2 AB 400s striplights from behind on either side of cat. White foam core from front for fill.

Composite of 3 images. First was rim lights and background, second was labels, and third was metal bottle top.
1. 2 Alienbees 800s in strip boxes, 3/4 flagged, and then further diffused through custom 8"x36" diffusers to give the feathered look. 1 Flashpoint gridded pointed on grey background paper.
2. The strip boxes were unflagged and turned horizontal for the labels; and moved in front of the bottle.
3. The striplights were then moved vertical and positioned about 45 degrees left and right of bottle. This was for the metal around the bottle top.
Strobist info: 2 SaberStrips, each with a SB600 in them... Set in an upside down "L. Fired by Radiopoppers. See setup shot in comments.

In this commissioned work a mishap happened to me which I used in my favour. The result is the image of a bursting glass - it seems to have been triggered by the bottle...

Fotoausstellung 2021 - Thema: 'Oberflächlickeit unserer Gesellschaft'
Die Silhouette der leeren Gabel beschreibt eine vermeintliche Leere, die uns förmlich durch die Übersättigung des Wohlstands der westlichen Welt verhungern lässt, während wir alles haben und doch unaufhörlich danach suchen, endlich satt zu werden.
Der Rauch beschreibt den wahren Hunger der Welt; derer, die nichts haben, nicht mal den Inhalt dieser einen Gabel.
The silhouette of the empty fork describes a supposed emptiness that literally makes us starve through the oversaturation of the affluence of the western world, while we have everything and yet incessantly seek to finally become full.
The smoke describes the true hunger of the world; of those who have nothing, not even the contents of this one fork.

Für diese Aufnahme habe ich die Ananas mit Schaschlikspießen fixiert und mit Mangosaft bespritzt. Das Messer wurde mit Hilfe einer Acrylglasplatte gehalten.
Ausgleuchtet wurde die Ananas mit einem Studioblitz von links mit einem Striplight 10x90 cm. Ein goldener Bouncer von rechts hellt die Ananas auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite zusätzlich auf. Der Hintergrund wurde mit einem Studioblitz von Oben mit einem Snoot und Wabengitteraufsatz angestrahlt. Von rechts hinten - neben dem Hintergrund - wurde zusätzlich ein Systemblitz mit Wabenaufsatz verwendet. Das fertige Bild wurde aus 14 einzelnen Aufnahmen in Photoshop zusammen montiert.
For this shot, I fixed the pineapple with shish kebabs and splashed it with mango juice. The knife was held with the help of an acrylic glass plate.
The pineapple was illuminated with a studio flash from the left with a Striplight 10x90 cm. A golden bouncer from the right additionally brightened the pineapple on the opposite side. The background was lit with a studio flash from above with a snoot and honeycomb grid attachment. From the back right - next to the background - a system flash with honeycomb attachment was also used. The finished image was assembled from 14 individual shots in Photoshop.

Im Einsatz war ein Blitzkopf mit einem Striplight von rechts neben dem Boxsack und ein Blitzkopf direkt vor dem Model auf dem Boden liegend mit einer Softbox. Die Effektbeleuchtung wurde mit einem Systemblitz mit einem Snoot und Wabenaufsatz inkl. Gel-Farbfilter erzeugt. Positioniert war dieser links vor dem Model und zeigte in Richtung des Boxsacks.
In use was a flash head with a striplight from the right next to the punching bag and a flash head directly in front of the model lying on the floor with a softbox. The effect lighting was created with a system flash with a snoot and honeycomb attachment including gel color filter. This was positioned on the left in front of the model and pointed in the direction of the punching bag.

A simple observation. Just a youth at a counter of a restaurant on a busy Soho street.
The striplight and colour combination were enough to convince me this was a pleasing scene

A students' stairwell, looking up to the glass cupola – St John's College, Cambridge.
St John’s is one of 31 Colleges at the University of Cambridge. It was founded in 1511 and its former students include Nobel Prize winners, prime ministers, scientists, artists, and leaders in business and industry. Today it has around 900 students and some 250 staff.

Something a little different but also something much the same! At this point this is quite a well photographed spot even though it has only been open a few months. Got to get in there quick if you want to get something different or original and to be honest I've seen some great shots from here so as not to do them a disservice I thought I'd try something different. Can you guess where this is?

Fotoausstellung 2022 - Thema: Nichtigkeit
Vom Mittelalter bis heute verknüpfen Vanitas-Stillleben "Eitelkeit" und "Vergänglichkeit" mit unserem Leben. Dabei spielen die arrangierten Gegenstände eine gravierende sinnbildliche Rolle.
Mit meiner modernen Interpretation der Vanitas-Stillleben möchte ich den Betrachter zu einer aktiven gedanklichen Teilnahme auffordern und zu einer Selbstreflexion des heutigen Überflusses anregen.
Das verbindende Element der Serie ist je ein modernes Objekt sowie das Stilmittel der Levitation-Fotografie (schwebende Gegenstände).
From the Middle Ages to the present day, vanitas still lifes link vanity and transience with our lives. In this context, the arranged objects play a grave symbolic role.
With my modern interpretation of the vanitas still life, I would like to invite the viewer to an active mental participation and to stimulate a self-reflection on today's abundance.
The unifying element of the series is one modern object each as well as the stylistic device of levitation photography (floating objects).

Spotted an interesting refelction of the overhead striplight on the glass on my phone. Cariad took a shot of it and challenged me to make something of it.

Die Silhouette der Weinflasche und des Glases beschreibt die Selbstverständlichkeit unseres alltäglichen Alkoholkonsums, der als Alltagskultur fast selbstverständlich akzeptiert, sogar zelebriert wird.
Die Hinterhältigkeit dieser Droge wird durch den Rauch dramatisiert.
The silhouette of the wine bottle and the glass describes the matter-of-course nature of our everyday alcohol consumption, which is accepted almost as a matter of course as everyday culture, even celebrated.
The insidiousness of this drug is dramatized by the smoke.

Bei dieser Aufnahme wurde ein Striplight von links verwendet. Der Hintergrund wurde mit einem Snootaufsatz mit Wabengitter von rechts angestrahlt. Eine LED erzeugte mit einem rotem Gel-Filter den Farbschimmer hinter dem Fahrzeug.
Die Driftspuren habe ich mit einem Bleistift auf die Unterlage gezeichnet. Der Qualm wurde in der Postproduktion mit Photoshop gezeichnet.
For this shot, a striplight was used from the left. The background was illuminated with a snoot attachment with honeycomb grid from the right. An LED created the color shimmer behind the car with a red gel filter.
I drew the drift marks on the background with a pencil. The smoke was drawn in post production with Photoshop.
