Harry Palmer
Harry and I have been together now for over a year. He is my 'unintentional friend' - I had no intention of adopting an animal when I visited The Lost Dogs' Home, but one look and I was hooked. He is a lovely companion, the children in the street adore him, and soon he will be visiting a nursing home as a 'volunteer'.

These "Beach Walk" photos were all taken during a morning walk along the beach from Termeil to Tabourie, including occasional excursions behind the dunes into the bush to pursue sounds or sights. I saw lots of birds I wasn't expecting and very few that I was.
Demonstrating the benefits of orthotic management in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, sports injuries, diabetes as well as paediatric patients. It allows the viewer to appreciate the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of those conditions affecting the foot and ankle. The video explains the processes around the casting and manufacture of the various devices that are provided to patients with such pathologies like flat feet and shin splints. Understanding the other adjunct treatments involved in these cases is also important and include stretching exercises and steroid injections.
For the second year in a row, I've got a serious back problem. After consultations with two doctors, I've chosen to try a chiropractor for the first time in my life. So far, all they've done is use an odd ratcheting piece of electronic equipment to measure the tension in my back, and ultrasound to try to loosen that tension. Hopefully this will work for me -- last year, trying the doctor's recommended stretching exercises took over two months to recover. I've got a trip to San Diego coming in one week, and really need to be able to walk, which I can't currently do!

Day 96 of 365 (Year Three)
I didn't realize how worn out I really was from this past weekend. When I got home last night I was sore. Two very long days of filming plus the long ride home really wore me out.
I didn't sleep well at the hotel either. I know that some people swear by them, but personally, I'm not a big fan of memory foam beds. I like my bed to have a little give to it. Maybe springs aren't the best, but it is what I'm used to. Sleeping on memory foam is like sleeping on a water bed filled with peanut butter. They don't have any bounce too them. Being somebody who rolls a bit and moves around when he sleeps, these beds don't help me sleep soundly.
With Savanah at my parent's house this week I was able to sleep in and boy did I. I fell asleep around 4 AM last night and woke up around 2 ish this afternoon and after being awake for a short time I fell back asleep until about 4 PM. I finally feel like myself again.
I reluctantly went to Karate tonight, but after going through the stretching exercises most of my aches and pains went away too. By the time I got home I was feeling really good. The aches and pains from working so hard this weekend were gone. That plus the much needed sleep really helped me feel human again.
