Took this image in Yellowstone NP several years ago. The owl seemed to have a whole routine of stretching exercises.
I watched this Pelican, which had been staying by itself on the river for almost a week, preen, flap its wings, splash around and act goofy for about 20 minutes. It may have been doing the equivalent of human stretch exercises because it must have resumed its long migration later this day.

The northern mockingbird (Mimus polyglottos) is the only mockingbird commonly found in North America. This bird is mainly a permanent resident, but northern birds may move south during harsh weather.
The northern mockingbird is known for its mimicking ability, as reflected by the meaning of its scientific name, "many-tongued mimic".

"""""""" WHO AM I ????? I would really like to know that!!
So sorry, that I immediately barged in with a serious philosophical issue……
But yesterday I was just an ordinary square piece of paper, cozy on a pile with my family and friends.
Suddenly I had to do all kinds of stretching exercises to get into this shape and I really don't know what will happen next…….. missing my friends……feeling quite stressed……. Hopefully time will reveal it soon! """""""

Taken in my garden after I'd been around the corner of my home once or twice to capture the sunrise . It's been a long time since I used this so I discovered that most shots were out of focus because I'm unable to stretch my arms out as straight as I used to last summer . Only one thing for it in that case - some physio and stretching exercises at home.
Female of I.elegans captured in a pond near the city of Alicante. The curious thing about this photo is the position of the abdomen of the female. He was doing stretching exercises (I do not know the purpose, I suppose to prepare the segments of the abdomen for the copulation) and I photographed it in that position, giving the circumstance that both pairs of wings were on one side of the abdomen.
. . . with a view! I cannot think of a better place to spend a sunset (well other than any place on Lake Michigan)! And besides, I can dangle my leg over the side and do my stretching exercises, thereby making my PT happy too.
Have a great week Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!
After an hour or so he had enough, did some stretch exercises and ran off down the mountain. It was such an amazing experience.

I saw Alex in a park near city hall when I was on the way home from the university campus. He was doing some stretching exercises. I asked if I could take his picture, etc. He said sure and then started doing flips in the air. I then asked if I could get one of him standing still. The flips are in my 100Strangers set after this one.

I love to read. I love to stretch. In the morning, I get up, and if I'm not in a hurry, I will lie on the floor on a rug, look through some books and magazines, and maybe listen to music and try to do stretching exercises to tune up. - Jackson Browne

Title: The phrase 'driving into the sunset' always strikes me as being a little 'final', as in coming to an end, but sunrise on the other hand, sounds more like a beginning... of an adventure maybe!
The image: Three men walking toward the sunrise towards 3 cruise-liners which had called in to Penang's port: Norwegian Jewel (front and centre), Aegean Paradise (bow just visible with tugboat) and Mein Schiff 5 (can just make out the ship's bridge through the trees).
Note: The guy on the left of the three men walking was doing stretching-exercises as the three walked past, he wasn't attempting to relieve himself over the wall! hahaha
