Schools class 4-4-0 locomotive number 30926 Repton storms up the 1 in 49 towards Goathland at dusk, with the glow of the fire reflected in the steam.
The new owner of this small steam engine was quite pleased when I pointed out that it was not a model engine but a small full sized unit designed to power a small machine shop or workshop.
This engine provided power to the New Yorker Hotel. It's in the 4th sub-basement.
I'm really excited. I just found out that my TV show pilot, called History Hacker is going to air on the History Channel on Friday, September 26th at 9PM. restored depot and steam engine at Snoqualmie Falls. The line is part of the old NP lint to North Bend Wa. This was taken at one of the winter Santa runs.
Exhibited by John Jones on the "stationary steam engines" stand, this engine is not a model, but a small engine recovered from a workshop in Clerkenwell.
A fine oscillatory steam engine ,spirit fired with safety valve , whistle and regulator valve. The boiler side plates appear to come from a Bowman model but the engine with its displacement lubricator and brass flywheel do not look like any commercial model I have seen.
Having worked a train up from Cranzahl, 99 1772-5 is seen on shed prior to working the return train.

Drive belt was removed for this video, so I could show it working stationary.

Avonside 0-6-0 Saddle Tank 1883 at the Ribble Steam Railway, 14th April 2012. The Ribble Steam Museum and the UK Locos websites both have the wrong picture for this loco (the latter probably as a result of the former), but I am fairly confident I have identified it correctly, due to an old photo on the RSR website of Hunslet 1954, which does not match the appearance of this loco.
