I actually kept the Torres Strait/ Aboriginal flag on the Customs House as well on the left. I thought it also made a good statement. The harbour looks calm

This wide, 2 inch gold cuff features rhinestones, vintage jewelry, and modern chains set in a wide, adjustable cuff bracelet. This is a statement making piece filled with glitter, glamour, and a sense of history.
A kiosk on Jefferson Dr SW, near the Smithsonian Castle. It's labeled National Mall & Memorial Parks, with a logo for the National Park Service. I don't like that both columns immediately start off with subheading. The one on the left is titled Welcome, which to me is just superfluous. The other column is titled How to Get Around, which basically is an ad for Tourmobile, which has a lucrative deal with the Park Service that really ought to be investigated and opened up. The map is no doubt very helpful. Then there's a Sites to See section, divided into "National Park Service Sites" and "Sites Which Require Tickets." This isn't quite the best way to organize things, seeing as how the Washington Monument shows up in both sections. The Museums and Galleries section just tosses out the hours of the Smithsonian Institution museums and the National Gallery of Art. The sign leaves out the U.S. Botanic Garden, oops. Finally, a Park Guidelines section has the usual blah-blah-blah items, which are fairly worthless, especially since most of them apply only "within the memorial and fountains." I find it fairly stupid that a sign on the Mall has a "no food or drinks" sign - you have to read the fine print to see that they're just saying the rule applies elsewhere. Duh! This sign needs a makeover. Washington, DC.
