Spring rolls appetizer at ThaiTanic restaurant, 3462 14th Street NW, in Columbia Heights, DC. The light was dim/poor where we were seated, but the G11 handled it well, and the noise reduction in Canon's DPP software helped bring it down to reasonable levels.
Very average and over-priced. Took longer to get our check than it took to get our food. Yes,they were very busy but the service did not exist.

The idea to use it as an ingredient for deep fried spring rolls is refreshing. There are a lot of tiny morsels of fish in each roll, mixed with chopped vegetable, so each roll smelled kinda fishy. The texture was however, smooth and succulent and the rolls were quite umami. I am not sure if the umami-ness is coming from the ingredients or a generous hand with MSG.
The dip is a simple vinegar dip, which provides a good antidote against the fishy aroma. It also made the rolls a little more tangy and appetising.
