A new handmade spring outfit for Bliss

I nursed this plant through a brutal June. I didn't think it would make it. To see it full of blossoms today makes me so happy.

cherry blossom - early light in spring.

Was assisted by the wind with the blur. :)

the earliest spring ephemerals have arrived: on the left, wood anemone, on the right, trout lily

I started my walk with Emmy in sunshine, but by the time we returned home, the first drops of rain were falling. Spring is a time when literally any weather can happen, often within a very short time.

"Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of weather." ~ John Ruskin

Veronica persica (Persian speedwell, ‘Oo-inu-no-fuguri’ in Japanese) produces lovely sky-blue flowers here and there in the spring fields. It’s a joy of spring to find them on a walk.

Veronica persica is a winter annual plant native to Eurasia. It has been naturalized in Japan since the 19th century.

. . . Waiting for Spring!

Daffodils have a beautiful way of welcoming Spring.

I love grape hyacinths!

Their a nice flower near Dunkeld and all over Scotland.

Our daffodils and spring primulas have been flattened by the recent bad weather, so let's hope we get some more uplifting springtime weather and sunshine soon!

One of many (and the largest) springs that feed the Yellow Breeches Creek at Boiling Springs, PA. No, it is NOT hot, I think they named it Boiling Spring because the springs "boil" up from below. The actual temperature of this spring is about 45 degrees year round making the water a bit chilly to wade or swim in.

Everything at the Disneyland resort right now just looks fresh and exciting, that's partly due to there being plenty of new things opening but it's also the beautiful greenery blooming everywhere. I'm sure looking forward to a fresh and new Disneyland resort this summer, it's almost here!

As for the shot, this is a 3 shot HDR edited with Nik's HDR Efex Pro and Nik Color Efex 4. I decided to try something new for this shot, usually I stay away from Nik's HDR software because it's difficult to get a realistic result from it but in this case I was actually pleased with my results. Sometimes it's fun to switch up your processing workflow.

Please don't hesitate to tell me what you think, comments and constructive criticism are welcome and appreciated! :)
