The grass is greening and the leaves are budding. Spring colours brighten our landscapes and lift the spirit.

Happy Monday
One of our most magnificent wild flowers. The pasqueflower blooms in April and grows in dry grasslands, limestone banks and hillsides. Especially in backlight they are very beautiful !

Spring is exceptionally beautiful this year in the Netherlands. Because of all the rain, it almost looks like the tropics so lush it is everywhere.
It forced me to take my other camera out of the bag, and go out trying to catch it in the landscape. Especially where water meets forest and meadows, the landscape is spectacular.
How different it was last year when it was already very dry in many places. This photo was taken near the start of the hike around the lake of Ankeveen (see fi www.flickr.com/photos/115540984@N02/35404695624/in/album-...).

The light clatters and laughs over the meadows
It hunts among the trees and undergrowth
as it's busy chasing all the shadows
associated with sadness and gloom
It clatters and laughs between the grazing cattle
and their young
Let it clatter, let it laugh, it's spring!!!!

Es fiebre de primavera. Ese es el nombre de lo que es. Y cuando lo tienes, quieres, oh, no sabes muy bien qué es lo que quieres, pero hace que te duela el corazón, ¡lo quieres tanto!
-- Mark Twain --
It’s spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you’ve got it, you want – oh, you don’t quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!

After weeks of cold and greyness, spring has finally arrived in England with 3 gorgeous sunny days this week. Feels good to be out and about again!
I have been away from Flickr for a while, sorry I've missed all your recent uploads, I will try to catch up soon :)
Beyond the darkened corridor
of winter’s chill and gloom,
Beckons spring with light and life
And wisps of hope
carried like a song
Despite the sub-freezing temperatures we experienced a couple of nights this week, the first daffodils in my garden are blooming, and insisting that Spring is on its way. This morning they were graced with the brightness of some unexpected sunshine and as they nodded in the breeze and their soft fragrance gently scented the air, it felt as if all the hope and promise of Spring to come was captured in those lovely blooms.
Note: After tomorrow I will be traveling for much of the next two weeks, so I apologize in advance that I may not be able to reply to comments in a timely fashion, and I will catch up on everyone's beautiful images as I can.
Hopefully sooner than later!

Spring's iridescence and your effervesce bubbles all around me....
Tipsy at the refreshing wine of joy and camaraderie,
I savor every moment and colorful exchange.
My life will never be the same.

Renewed Life in the air.
A new life in the garden as the seeds begin to grow.
A new life in the garden as my rosy petals show.
Dizzy at the thought of you and our time together.
My cheeks continue to shine as I keep slowly sipping on you and your cheer wine.
Thank you all for your colorful comments and kind favs.
I hope you all enjoy sips of joy as you continue your week.
