Midway Geyser Basin, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone National Park is the largest hot spring in the United States, and the third largest in the world. It is located in the Midway Geyser Basin. The spring is approximately 370 feet (110 m) in diameter and is 160 feet (50 m) deep. The spring discharges an estimated 560 US gallons (2,100 L) of 160 °F (70 °C) water per minute. (Wikipedia) Scanned from a Kodachrome slide.
Walking in the mountains yesterday, the temperature started off at 3°C, although bright and sunny. As we climbed higher it clouded over, thunderstorm, then started snowing with near blizzard conditions as we reached 1000m !

The first day of spring was March 20th, yet yesterday it snowed. Caught this as I was driving my son out to a friend's.
