a few days back fabulous weather -- spring like, at lunch time no winter jacket needed outside... freshly collected eggs on delicious green moss around the house... and while I'm writing, it is snowing outside :)
Spring is here! We visited a courtyard designed by Carlo Scarpa today at the Querini Stampalia foundation museum. I need to go back here and study how this place is put together!
Spring, Texas – Some new friends I made while visiting my sister in Houston for the Christmas holidays. Houston is the 4th most populous state in the U.S., so grazing areas for these new friends of mine are quickly disappearing due to urban sprawl. I’m witnessing the impact every year I visit. This scene is just a short walk from my sister’s house and although you can’t tell from the image, this space is nestled in the middle of new housing construction, congested roadways, strip malls, and fast food joints all just a short walk away. Pretty soon I’m guessing scenes like this will disappear completely from the suburban landscape here. It’s a shame because this type of imagery is what comes to mind when I think of Texas: open fields, big skies, and cattle. It’s nice seeing these rustic settings mixed in with the suburbs and I’ll miss it when it’s gone; but at least I’ll have my picture to remind me of what once was…
Crocuses closing up for the day.
Several people said they wish the previous time lapse had lasted a bit longer, so I took a completely different approach to it this time. I'm pretty pleased with this one. It has to be my best time lapse video to date! :-)) Could have done with a bit less wind maybe, but that's nature!
The soundtrack is from Minstrel Boy [Instrumental] by The Corrs.
Jondian water spring located in Diana City…the water start to flow out after winter, burst out all the sudden this is why it has been called Magical Spring…the rest of the year water quantity is low…
So Spring Into Style is one of my favourite Fashionistas since her eye paint is so different to the doe eyed, wall eyed Fashionistas of 2016. I immediately put her onto a Triad Alpha body cuz she has the perfect attitude to be on that body and I’m just so happy to have her lol.
We finally got our irrigation water.... and yesterday we had rain too!! We didn't get our Spring snowstorms or our spring rains..... it's very dry here.

After a long cold winter I think spring is finally taking hold here. Woke this morning to our first blooms of the year.
A beautiful day today, so i took a drive out to my favourite spot for Mt. Yotei shots... today I included a stone (possibly quartz) statue in the forground to add a little Japan-esqueness to the shot... for anyone wondering if if's safe to visit Japan... YES it is and there has never been a threat here in Hokkaido... come visit us! Hokkaido has the best seafood, and wonderful nature.

One of the first spring flowers in my garden so I just had to take a photo of it.... a snowdrop... a very apt name as there was snow on the hills yesterday!
